Just pulled the trigger and...

I'm so freaking excited, I just clicked the buy button and currently my card has been charged and my order is in progress after 15 minutes!!! I ordered via Future Shop and since I live in Markham it should arrive tomorrow evening!!!!

I'm a bit sceptical about if it will actually come tomorrow but oh well

Quick question since you live in Ontario - i haven't lived in Canada in years so I might be missing something - WHat's the point of ordering online in Canada? You pay tax anyways. There's a zillion future shops, and prices are same online/in person. Seems like you can get immediate satisfaction and just pick it up in person.

True and you are correct in saying that. Although tomorrow I can't go anywhere due to some reasons. So the package will come to me!

Just wanted to hop in and share my excitement, I just picked up a new 13-inch MacBook Pro as a gift to myself over the holidays. It's the base model non-Retina version as the price was right and I was able to easily add in 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB hard drive after the fact, and it will do everything that I need it to do for years to come. :)

My new rMBP was delivered a couple of hours ago. So far I have configured a few things, got iTunes migrated, backed up my iPhone and iPad, loaded a a little software, set up mail, etc. This thing rocks! I really like it so far.

Bought a 15inch base rmbp. Love it. Totally forgot that the base model didn't have the dGPU but oh well. Don't game on it or anything. That is what my iMac is for.

Plan on upgrading the ssd down the road to 1tb

New rMBP 13"!!!

Got my rMBP 13 128GB with 8GB of RAM. Love the Mac but feel like 128GB is too limiting. Should I return it and buy the better one?

rMBP 13.3-MGx72 2.6Ghz, 8Gb ram

Is there any one who has bought the new rMBP 2.6 GHz CPU, 8Gb RAM, 13'' retina dioslay???

aside from the limitation of the 128GB SSD hard, do you have any other problems?? like lack of CPU power? have you ever played games on it?

or may been you regret that your laptop does not have a separated GPU? or you would prefer that your laptop would have a graphic card?
has it ever happened that your rMBP let you down??

Brought my 2011 15" MBP to the Apple Store for its second logic board replacement, and since I have bought every Mac from that store they gave me a replacement stright up. 2014 "15 rMBP 2.5 16gb ram 512 ssd nvidia graphics card. Yay!

I've been playing Kerbal Space Program with it and I must say that I'm impressed: the game is quite playable with smooth frames. I don't find the CPU limiting as at one time I may have 10 tabs open in Safari and it crunches through it just fine.

No.

Yes you should. I bought the 5xx gb one for cheap so couldn't refuse :)

True although it costs $1599 so I'm a bit sceptical but now I have a Transcend JetDrive Lite and it works fine.

Just ordered my first ever Mac. A 13" MBPR i7 512 gb, fingers crossed it will do the job for editing my GoPro footage

I just ordered a refurbished 2014 15.4" Macbook Pro Retina 2.5/16GB/512GB/750m. I'm upgrading from a late 2013 13" MBPr 2.6/8/512 GB. My 13" MBPr is currently my primary computer. I hope the refurbished 15.4 MBPr is flawless when it arrives.
My refurbished 15" MBPr arrived over a week ago and I returned because the screen had clouding and light leakage. I'm not sure if I should try another one or get the base 15" MBPr?

Last night I ordered a mid-2014 15" rMBP 2.5GHz i7, 16G ram, 512G flash, Iris Pro + NVIDIA GT750 to replace my early 2011 MBP that died Tuesday night with the dreaded discrete GDU failure. Shipped last night. Going to sell the 2011 on ebay for parts.

I got the exact same setup in September, you're gonna love it!
I also got a WD MyCloud NAS for all my music\pictures\documents.

Hoping that we never experience a "NVIDIA-gate"

Received my 13" rMBP today, replacing my old 2010 MBP. I hadn't upgraded to Yosemite yet either so I got a double upgrade. Loving it so far, so snappy, great display and the speakers are way better. I'm also loving the great battery life.

I opted for the 128GB SSD to keep costs down, so we'll see how that turns out. I plan on getting one of those low profile SD cards for some auxiliary storage at some point. I'm going to have to properly sort out my home server soon too so I can have all my movies and music available easily, plus backups.

I wanted to ask if there are any cool, preferably not stupidly expensive thunderbolt peripherals. Not that I'm in need of anything, but I kind of just want to have something to use the ports for :roll eyes: I don't need a storage solution and I'm not going to shell out for the ethernet adapter, but a dock or something might be cool. Any suggestions?

Got a great deal on brand new Mid-2014 rMBP 15" i7 2.5GHz/16GB/512GB/Iris Pro + 750M (€1800). Going from Late 2006 white MacBook as my main computer. Words can't describe the difference between these two :)
