Unwound you mind posting up a screenshot of the "about this mac " window for the graphics please? I'm after seeing how much vram it states it has. I would like to put it into game agent, see what games it will run before I buy one next week!

I just picked up the 2015 rMBP i5 128GB at Best Buy using the 10% mover's coupon and the $50 education savings. Pre-tax total $1124.99. Post tax $1229.05 with our insanely high sales tax. I was thinking about getting the MacBook in April but being an MBA student I figured the new MacBook Pro would be a better fit for me.

Just picked up a new 13'' 3.1/512/16gb rMBPro from Birmingham Bullring.

The thing is fast and love the new trackpad...

Gone from a mid 2012 15'' rMBPro as wanted a bit more portability and lightness.

Well, I run Guildwars 2 on my 2015 rMBP just to try it. It is really fluid, between 20/40 fps depending on the areas and stuff. I would be glad to give further informations if someone is interested.

For the heat/noise, still in comparison to my late 2011 mbp, in intensive usage the computer is cooler (I could keep it on my lap, wasn't able to do that with my old mbp when playing), but unfortunately the vent gets noisy (would say the same as my old mbp). It is exactly what I expected, but for someone who wants to do heavy stuff in perfect silence... no it is not possible, stop dreaming :D

What settings did you use? Have you tried any other games and if so how were they?

is there a point upgrading from the i5 2.9ghz to the i7 3.1ghz for the rMBP 2015? I already have 16GB ram and 500gb ssd

Not really, you won't really notice the performance increase unless you're going to be compiling/rendering 90% of the time, but you'll want to go with 15" rMBP for that anyways, for tasks like that quad core is better.

If you're going from i5 2.7GHz to i7 3.1GHz, then maybe, but I don't think it's worth the price increase.

Just ordered a 2015 rMBP 13", base model + 256gb ssd!:)

My old MBA 2011 13" is starting to get a little sluggish and slow, excited to receive the new machine soon :)

Just ordered a 2015 rMBP 13" loaded up with i7, 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. Giving my 2014 MBA 8/512 to my wife who is still rocking a 2011 MBA 4/256. Selling hers to pay for my new toy. Apple says I'll get it in TWO WEEKS. ARGHHHHHHHH....

Two weeks??

I ordered mine on March 9th (2015 rMBP 13" / i7 / 16GB / 1TB). FedEx shows it's in Seattle (where I live) from Shanghai already, with a Monday delivery.

Did you not opt for expedited shipping? Curious because I may order a second one of similar specs soon.

Expedited shipping shaved off 2-3 days. Right now it's scheduled to ship to store on March 30th. If I had it shipped home it said March 26-30. There's a store next to work, so it's more convenient for me to have it shipped there. I'm hoping they've exaggerated lead times so they can look like heroes when it comes earlier.

Just picked up my new 15" rMBP on Monday. It's the base model with 256 GB SSD. A WORLD of difference from my early 2009 17" MBP!

I'd thought about waiting for a while longer, but I got a good deal and got it for $1600, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier!

I think the latter will be the case. For a minute, I was under the impression that they might have updated their estimated shipping times to reflect some part shortage for custom builds - I think you're good on getting it earlier from what I can see.

Was hanging out yesterday and went to an Apple store to have a look at the new macbook pro. I was a little surprised that they have the 3.1GHz 16GB RAM 512GB SSD model in stock. Picked up one right away and opened it an hour ago. The force touch trackpad feels different and takes some time to get used to. Nevertheless it's fun to play with :)

Sold my 2011 13" Air top spec the day before.

Just ordered a 13" MBP 2.7 Ghz i5, 256 GB SSD, and 16 GB of RAM to replace my aging early 2008 17" MBP. Didn't go crazy with the specs considering it will be my secondary machine, but looking forward to not getting beachballs galore when trying to open a simple webpage, tab, etc.

How are you finding it? How's the battery life and what are you using it for? Thanks :)

People who live in the UK and have ordered the refreshed 13" rMBP, how long did it arrive? (If you've just recently ordered, how long is the estimation?)

Just ordered a refurbished 2014 rMBP base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD to replace my 2014 MBA. Can't wait for it to get here.

----------

Did you purchase Apple Care?

Also, my only concern is purchasing this machine with only 8GB of RAM and I am now thinking of going the "whole enchalada" with a MacBook Pro 2015, 16GB Ram, 256SSD and with Applecare plus State Tax should total around $2200.00.

Anyhow, good luck with your purchase and enjoy your Mac Book Pro!

I didn't purchase AppleCare for the time being since I can buy it within a year of purchase.

I ordered my 2015 13 inch Macbook Pro on the 12th just shipped this morning from Shanghai. Fedex says it should be delivered to me in Florida on the 18th in the morning. Apple says the 19th. My system is the 2.9 GHz model with custom 16 gb ram and Japanese keyboard. So Apple built my system quick.

Ordered Wednesday. 1-3 business days to dispatch.

Status currently at Preparing For Dispatch.

Expecting it Tuesday I reckon. Then I'll probs have to rearrange delivery for when someone is home.

I use it as my daily computer (word processing, youtube, torrenting etc) and perhaps some Starcraft 2 :D, I'll have to test it out. I haven't been using it intensely but it does give me an impression of good battery life. I'm guessing a 6-7 hr non video related use?
