I just bought a 2015 13" MBP i5/2.7/8/256. I'd been planning to buy a refurbished 2013 or 2014 model after reading that the CPU speed upgrade in the 2015 model isn't substantial, but the faster GPU and the new trackpad intrigued me. What finally tipped the balance was when I found out that the 2015 model will drive a 4K external monitor at 60 Hz. Anyway, I'm loving it so far! It makes my 2008 15" MBP feel like a slab of concrete. I have no desire for a lighter and thinner MBA, let alone a lighterer and thinnerer 12" MacBook.

Picked up a new rMBP 2.7/8/256 this weekend. I love it. A substatial upgrade from my blackbook C2D 2.4 and a pretty good upgrade from my 21.5" iMac Mid 2011. While I wish I would have just waited and ordered it with more Ram, I think i will mostly be fine for now. Battery life has been fine so far and temperatures seem to be OK as well. Now to upgrade the iMac to a mini and get 2 larger screens. Fun times.

Picked up a 13" 2.7GHz/8GB/256GB model on Friday the 13th. Force pad took almost no time at all to get used to.

The battery life is insane. The battery estimate is gotta be off: 17hrs? Really? I wish.

Having a little trouble selling my 10 month old cMBP though.

How is your cMBP only 10 months old? They haven't released a new one in 3 years?

Ordered March 9 with only upgrade being 16GB of ram. Arrived early yesterday morning. Huge upgrade from previous MBP. The screen is amazing!

Any recent 2014 buyer wish they waited?

I've had mine for about a month and half and quite enjoy it, but kind of wish I had a '15.

Just a month ago the rumors were mid june or july for the Pros which was too long of a wait, but probably would have waited had I known they were coming out now.

BTW, I did get a free i7 upgrade which I was very happy about, but on the other hand wouldn't mind a plain old i5 for better battery life. Battery life is kinda disappointing

Bought mine earlier in 2015 and have no regrets whatsoever. Look, when your buying apple products, there's always something new or updated around the corner all the time. However, Apple does a fantastic job (IMO) to make sure the product you just bought lasts for years to come. Enjoy your laptop and don't worry about it.:)

Order Status from Apple changed to Preparing for Shipment over night, but thanks to my choice, it has shipped from China and will be here Tuesday. :D

I'm trying to decide what to do myself. I got a 2014 13" refurb at a killer price 8G/256 $910 inclusive of tax.

I'm considering getting a 2015 13" 16GB/256 but there is a significant price increase and I'm not sure if the better graphics card is worth it IMO. I couldn't care less about the force touchpad at this point but it may be something to look at in a year or so when application usage catches up.

Any thoughts?

I just placed an order for a Build To Order 2015 13" Retina. Took the Top Of The Line with the i5 2.9 and the 512 Gb Storage, and upgraded it to 16 Gb. Yes, that actually makes it more expensive than the entry level 15" Retina, but I want the smaller 13" screen size. And since I am upgrading from a 11" 2011 Air, the extra screen size of the 13" will already be an upgrade over what I already have.

I had to order thru a reseller since it is being purchased as a company laptop. So I will not be able to track the order on Apple website. Will just have to be surprised when the receiving clerk brings it to my desk. :D

I ordered a rMBP 13" 2015 16GB/256GB 2.7GHz i5 on 3/11 for ship to store. Been a week already and it still shows 'Shipping to Store' and supposed to be available on 3/25. This wait is killing me :(

They didn't have it already in stock at your store? My store had this config in stock.

After being absorbed by Apple ecosystem with the iPhone (4s, 5s) and iPad (1, 2), I just bought my first Apple computer. My wife just picked up the mid-level 2015 13" rMBP (2.7GHz, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM). Purchased at Best Buy with a $100 gift card and the USPS Movers' Coupon. Total out-of-pocket cost after tax was $1365. I can't wait to get home and unpack. I may have to duck out of work early!

I've got some threads/websites bookmarked for apps to check out first. I also purchase this Inateck sleeve to go with it.

2.7/16/256

Pretty happy camper over here! I ordered my machine on the 12th and paid for the 2-3 day shipping. Original delivery time (after the 3-5 day build time quote) was March 20-24. I received it yesterday. Holy crap Apple/Fedex! Thanks! :D

A. Force Touch is crazy. It totally feels like every other Mac trackpad I have used, but it literally doesn't move. Its eery, almost. Lol. "In Russia, trackpad click you!"

B. This machine is a speed demon with a battery that won't quit!

So stoked!

After months of thinking i was going to replace my 2009 iMac with a new
Retina imac i actually went ahead and picked up a rmbp today!

After the keynote and seeing the new macbook i started lusting over a laptop. After thinking about it a lot i figured if it was going to be my main matching, the new macbook probably wouldn't cut it.

Went to see the rmbp and loved it. Walked away with the 13in 2.7 i5 with 8gb or ram and the 256 ssd. This thing screams! night and day compared to my 2009 iMac obviously.

Im so stoked!!!
