I bought my base 15" with 512gb ssd on Saturday the 14th. It shipped yesterday, but it says it will not be available for pickup until July 25th. That seems like an abnormally long amount of time, I see other people getting them a day or 2 after shipment. Does anyone know why store pickup is so much slower than home delivery? I was hoping to pick it up this weekend

I guess you customized the config. I did mine on 13rd and will arrive on 24th

Ordered BTO on 13th, shipped on 17th, currently either in HK or on the plane to me, not sure, DHL tracking sucks.

Hoping it’s here on Friday or it will be a loooong weekend.

Ordered mine at the 15th, chose the 13" 16GB, 512 BTO and estimated delivery is 24th though I hope it'll arrive earlier. Was dispatched yesterday from Shanghai via UPS and has just been cleared by customs.

My local store has the configuration available that I want so cancelled my online order and heading down there now to collect :D

found a 15" i9 1TB 32GB in store and picked it up yesterday. Managed to grab the leather sleeve as well. loving it so far, regardless of the throttle/thermal fiasco. Thats what AppleCare is for. It breaks, they fix.

I am so excited to join the group here awaiting my new MacBook Pro.

Here is what i ordered:

:apple: 15" MacBook Pro - Space Gray
2.6GHz/560X/32GB/512SSD

It has been almost a decade since my last mac.

I am currently upgrading from the first Unibody MacBook Pro (Late 2008).

Will be a HUGE improvement. :p

I am BEYOND excited for this! :)

My current expected delivery date is: July 26 - July 30th. I placed my order yesterday with expedited shipping.
Currently at the Processing State.

Anyone else similar?

I love it already, although I have one complaint. The delete button on the keyboard. When I lift my finger from it, it makes a loud click, which doesn't seem to happen with the other keys.

Is this common with these new keyboards?

There have been a few issues with the previous keyboards which you may have read about, if I was you I’d see how ou get on with it and if you have any issues send it back within the 2 week period and get another one.

Yeah, I'm aware of the issues.

However, can anyone confirm if when typing all keys sound the same? It seems that the letters are low pitched like there's some deadening of the sound, but the other keys are higher pitches and click a lot. The different tones are really winding me up now.

I have a 13" i5/16/512 and my Delete key does the exact same thing, definitely louder than other keys.

I'm OK with that, but the thing that is bothering me right now is that I noticed a very, very tiny nick/dent on the edge of the aluminum casing near the display hinge. It seems to be a manufacturing defect and I'm trying to decide if it's enough for me to return it and order a new one.

Just ordered our studio’s new MacBooks:

15”, i9, 16Gb, 1TB SSD.

13”, i7, 16Gb, 1TB SSD.

Delivery should be before July 27. Glad to see full speed TB3 on the 13”, of course let down by the news of extreme throttling of the i9 but let’s see how much that affects our real world usage.

Overall very happy with the upgrades to our 2014 and 2015 MBPs.

2018 13in Macbook Pro; 2.7GHz i7 processor; 16GB ram; 2 TB SSD HD (Can't wait!)

Replacing a late 2012 27in iMac. It's high time I get more mobile. Hope it's a set up.

Mine was shipped yesterday and just left Anchorage. It's scheduled for delivery in CA on Tuesday, which is also a long time compared to past experiences. I'm guessing it will spend the week-end doing nothing in Louisville, and will start moving again on Monday. Oh well, I don't need it to be there earlier, but the watching is fun.

Mine is still sitting in Shanghai. Hopefully it moves overnight tonight
