The people with new macbook pros how is your machine so far. Do you like it? Are there any thermal issues? I got a quotation for i7, 32 GB model. Just waiting couple of weeks before purchasing.

All of the drivers are not complete for the 2018 MBPro on BootCamp. It always lags a bit behind. Hopefully it will be done soon, I could not wait.

Didn't the touchbar models had a speaker issues with the bootcamp? I am curious to see how bootcamp performs in the new machines.

Just got my shipping/tracking information! So excited! :) ETA: Friday, July 27

I will be finding out this evening.

I’m thinking of returning my fully-loaded 13” (i7, 16 GB, 1 TB) for a 15” (2.6, 560X, 512 GB). The 2 machines are essentially the same price but I miss the screen real estate and dGPU.

Trying to track down which plane my 13" MBP is on, kinda hard since there is one update since the label was created. Also decided to reroute the package to a UPS store near me since I won't be home to pick up the package. I wonder what effect this will have on the estimated delivery day.

I don't think you are on a plane yet, your departure scan now means it is leaving the Apple facility, you will probably get an arrival scan soon for the airport facility, and then an export, clearance, and departure scan when it gets on a flight.

Great, could I ask why did you choose that config? I always think 512GB/8GB Ram is miles better option than the 256GB/16GB Ram.

Great question, happy to answer. Basically, I have a massive 8 TB desktop/gaming rig back home where I do most of the big file demanding tasks like video editing and photo editing. I am going to be using this computer just for general productivity tasks that doesn't demand that much storage - anything related to audio/video tasks. Hence the 256 GB HD. Also, upgraded the RAM, because you can't go wrong with more RAM and especially when you are using Chrome that eats RAM like cookies.

After 10 years, I can now post on here. Ordered the 15" 2.6GHz, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD last night. Should be a decent upgrade to my current system below :D

Man, your jaw is gonna hit the floor when you see the blazing fast performance on your new shiny toy! Congrats and enjoy it, you deserve it!

I know that when I upgraded my gaming PC from a Core 2 Duo based system (made around 2007/8) to a Broadwell-E (6850K/X99 platform), my jaw was on the floor for sure, and remained that way for a good month or 2.
[doublepost=1532124275][/doublepost]It's now 6am in Shanghai. If there is going to be weekend movement for my product, it is going to be in the next few or so (let's hope).

I’ve taken the plunge and ordered a 15”, 2.6, 512/16 to replace a 13” MBP. In many ways I think the 13” is the perfect all-round form factor but the lack of screen space is frustrating at times. I use Spaces all the time, but frequently I just want to have a couple of windows or documents up on a screen side by side and the 13” isn’t great for that.

We have a couple of iMacs in the office but I’m just not using them anymore, i’d much rather be on the MBP, so we’ll see how this pans out,

I’ve concerns over the size, but I don’t travel an awful lot and if I need to run or bike to an office I’ll tend to take my iPad Pro as you really notice the weight of any Apple laptop in a rucksack. The footprint of the 15” doesn’t look massively more than the 13” now and hopefully it won’t take up much more space on the train.

I had a 15" Windows laptop at one point when I was an undergrad. That thing just wasn't portable! Switching it out for a 13" Windows laptop made it so much better to carry around and I just decided to stick with this screen size. It's the perfect balance of portability and screen real estate IMHO. 12" is too small and 15" is just not portable.

You can't compare the 15" windows laptop's foot print, thickness, size to a 2016-2018 model 15" MBP. If you played around with the new 15" model, you will most likely change your mind.

From 2011 to 2018, I ve always had the 13", I got my hands on the 15" this year, and I realized what I ve been missing, and I am never going back.

I took a glance at the 15" at an Apple Store near me

I took a glance at the 15" at an Apple Store near me and just looking at how big it was compared to the 13" pretty much convinced me. What sealed the deal was the controversy over the throttle and power issues that are being discovered in the 15" which the 13" doesn't seem to have (as of yet). So yeah. To each their own, but do enjoy your 15", you deserve it!

I finally decided to jumpin and ordered a 13" i5, 16gb, 1tb. Now I just need to figure out what accessories to buy before it arrives.

USB C > USB A is a must for any 1st time Macbook owner. Other than that, nothing much else, all depends on your needs. Since I miss MagSafe so much, I decided to buy a 3rd party MagSafe cable as well.
