Fair points. But all subjective. Sorry.
What is objective is the large camera bump, the weight and thickness, which I’ve already discussed at length are why I dislike the new Pro Max. This thread shows many other people disliking it for this reason.

The camera bump is something else, I just realized my iPhone hasn’t been charging g on my magsafe duo case because it’s not even sitting on the case at all 🤣

Well I’m joining the “I returned my pro” club, though it isn’t because I didn’t really like the phone and the features. I just could not adapt to the weight after using the 13 mini for the last 5 months. I mean I probably COULD have, but I didn’t want to chance getting past my return date and being unhappy with a thousand dollar phone.

I’ve been waiting for no notch for so long that I literally cannot believe I’m back with a notch - that’s how much I missed the size/weight of the mini.

Sticking with it, and hoping they lose the notch on the regular 15s next year. This will be my first year ever without a new phone since iPhone was released.

Considering returning my 14 pro. Battery life is just disappointing but getting the Pro Max isn't really an option since I use my phone one handed a lot. Don't wanna risk apple not fixing the battery life in a future update and I'm stuck with the phone. So if it's not fixed by the middle of next week, it's going back.

The poll is certainly "valid." Its results exactly reflect the votes of the users of MacRumors who opted to view the thread and subsequently vote in the poll.

I never tried to claim it was any more or less than what it is; you're the one that brought your ... understanding ... of "Science" into the thread 🤡

Real talk to all who were disappointed and returned their devices: I hope you find satisfaction in a new device before your current device fails to serve you properly, and I hope you enjoy your current device until then!

The poll definitely isn’t valid anymore and possibly never was. I just voted for an option and didn’t buy or return a 14 of any kind

The poll is valid and always has been. The only way it can be proven to be invalid is if you have all of the data of every invalid vote and then you calculated the standard deviation based on that data to determine whether it was significant to the outcome or not.

You yourself just voting like you did does not invalidate the results. Some education on statistics is in order sir. And you also fail to surmise that others could say they didn't return it when in fact they did.

I just now cancelled my order. I was at the Apple Store yesterday and tried the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Currently using a 12. They are so heavy and the camera bumps are absurd. The design is just not great at this point. They’ve seriously lost the plot here.

Wish I could swallow Android but I hate Android. So here I sit, with a 12.
Just get the battery replace your 12pro will run equal to the 14pro

I think you need to learn statistics and selection bias.

You can't argue with him. A few of us tried to no avail. I used to teach college statistics and easily spot those who throw out buzz words without really understanding underlying concepts. Both statistics and logic are unfortunately not well understood by many.
You have ZERO DATA to support that any of the votes are invalid. I can only imagine the students you produced.

I will be returning mine this weekend. I set it up without activating it and I really didn’t notice enough of a difference/upgrade over my 13P. I took a few pics and they didn’t look noticeably better than the 13. Nothing wrong with the 14 and if your running with an older model, it would be a nice upgrade. But from the 13, not so much. At least not for me.

A lot of FOMO here and people bored throwing away money. Just to return them and take away from people that actually want them. Screw each and every one of you doing that causing phones to be delayed.
Whether or not someone returned something they didn’t want after receiving it, they still woke up early on the day preorders started, so they could get one ordered and receive it early.

You could’ve been that person if you were that worried about getting your hands on one and not having to wait.

As possibly the last iPhone with a physical SIM slot and with the 6S not supporting the latest iOS, I decided that now is the time to upgrade. It’s a big jump and I don’t plan on returning the iPhone 14 Pro.

Next year model will still have notch at least you get used to be type c for 2023.

Returned my 14 Pro Max. I've never returned one before like this so fast and with zero regret. Usually it's a tough decision, and I end up keeping it. I've had every iPhone since the beginning. The biggest thing I was looking forward to was the always-on-display but I ended up turning it off very quickly. This is the first year since 2006 that I feel like I'll stick my with 13 Pro Max until iPhone 15. I'll probably just buy a new case to make this phone feel new.

The positives: I did enjoy the island and the space black color.
