I don't expect Apple to add the feature but that is not the reason they won't.
The EU is too big to not listen to them. Apple has been the subject of some judicial investigations by the EU already. The EU isn't the only part of the world where you need to do this but the EU is one of the more flexible ones.

I started reading the rest of your post and you lost my attention with the other arguments and the tone.
You did the same by going the personal route instead of responding to the given arguments. That's a good way of loosing respect of the other people in the discussion you're in. It opens the door to trolling.

Apple has a history of either buying a company with desirable tech (do you remember Cover Flow) to integrate into their OS or simply copying it (f.lux most recently).
They also have a history of coming up with things themselves. But so does nearly every other company on the planet. We Dutch even have a saying about this that is centuries old.

I don't consider Skype (which changed hands, what 3 times now) a VoIP solution. Have you even seen or used the Android built-in SIP client? Love it and that was the reason I had Nexus phones for years depsite having to put-up with the Google BS.
I'm not talking about Skype here, I'm talking about Skype for Business which was previously known as Lync. The technical side of things makes both Skype and Skype for Business (Lync) a VoIP solution. SIP isn't the only implementation of VoIP, there are many others which are mostly proprietary. Have you seen any of the VoIP solutions generally used by businesses and have you seen the kind of VoIP solutions used for customers?

Don't forget that a telephone system consists of more than just VoIP. Most of the solutions, especially the business ones, have additional functionality that turns it into a messaging system (tight integration with Windows is rather nice so that you can dial numbers straight from the web browser or Outlook). That's why most of them use proprietary stuff and require you to use a client. A generic SIP client is also too difficult for the average consumer to handle (most VoIP subscriptions will provide you with the phone that is already configured for you) or they simply don't have VoIP (a lot of the implementations use voice over cable, dsl, atm because the modem will then handle everything and the customer can use his old phones). I've worked with a few of these systems (as in configuring and managing them) so yes I do know what they are, how they work and what you can/cannot do.

Thankfully Apple know better than you and I what's best for them.
Especially how their target audience(s) work(s).

One thing I ask and one thing only:

THE ABILITY TO CREATE GROUPS IN 'CONTACTS' TO USE IN EMAILS, AND BE ABLE TO PICK A GROUP EASILY FROM CONTACTS (AS OPPOSED TO HAVING ALL GROUPS NAMED AS 'GROUP')

So sorry for the all caps but I'm frustrated that this has been a long standing issue with iOS that Apple is not resolving and everyone seems to be all ok with it.

-Support mice/trackpads (More so for the iPad Pro than anything else)

THIS!!! iPads (specially Pro) would be so much better laptop replacers if they supported bluetooth mice. Apps like Excel will never be as productive by using touch. In addition, I do not thing it would be difficult for Apple developers to add a cursor that replaces touch interactions.

I'm too lazy to read through all 21 pages, but I would like to see them evolve 3-D touch to where you can customize your own shortcuts. For example, on the music app I would love to be able to add a specific playlist as a shortcut.

Actually all they need to do is make them all dynamic like the Messages one is. For Messages it shows the contacts you've recently talked to/message the most. So they already have the ability for dynamic 3D Touch quick access shortcuts, they just need to apply that to all of them.

The only worry I would have there is that messages doesn't always display the last three people I've texted. Sometimes it's completely random and it doesn't really make sense.

I'd honestly prefer custom setting. Apple never gets my contacts or apps right in the new iOS 9 spotlight smart search screen - I'd also rather set the apps and contacts I wanted there.

would like to see more 'personal assistant' presence.

When health app/apple watch senses you have done less calorie burning today than your daily average, suggest a 'XXminute walk tonight" etc.. with it taking account your BMI and amount of calories needed to burn still to reach your goal.

The assistant can become extremely useful in so many ways.
Can't wait to see how they incorporate it in the future.

My current wish list for iOS 10:
  • Clean up spotlight
  • Open NFC to API (include Privacy setting)
  • Separate apps from overall software updates (individual stock apps can be updated without pushing out a full OS update)
  • Customisable control centre
  • Fix custom keyboards
  • Fullscreen for videos in Podcasts app
  • Bring back Genius Mixes
  • Dark mode
  • Improved siri (offline siri)
  • More 3D touch settings/options
  • Faster animations and improved visuals
  • More camera controls
  • Group/Conference calling FaceTime
  • More EQ options
  • Improved Audio options (AudioKit, better inter-app audio)
  • Refined iPad experience and UI
  • Improved Split view (ability to move which side an app is on, and grid view with search ability for selecting apps)
  • Bring some more OS X features to iOS
  • Drag and Drop between apps in Split View
  • Two instances of one app in split view
  • Low power mode for iPad

Improved Music app UI! There are 5 buttons on the bottom of the screen, one of them is my actual music, and the other four are Apple trying to sell me something! Yet I have to press 8275 weird buttons to switch from albums to artist sorting in my library!

The Apple Store
Deep linking apps
Delete/hide stock apps (preferably delete)
Moar customization with the lock screen and icons
Ability to set default apps
More 3D Touch features
Siri APIs and Proactive search open for developers to take advantage of
Back button that close Safari tabs after I click to go back if I click a link in Mail
Gesture support/Customizable gestures

I'm sure I'll think of more :)

I remember when Snow Leopard was introduced, Bertrand Serlet mentioned around 6 GB of memory freed due to optimizations throughout the OS. I really hope iOS 10 does something like that.

* no more ios9 UI stutter
* customisable CC
* MUCH better support for 3rd party keyboards
* functioning airdrop
* let you choose wifi spot priority like OSX
* back to ios8 style app switcher

And most importantly, let you better manage photos. if move a photo to album, I don't want to see the photo still in camera roll. if I delete a photo in album, I don't want to see it still in camera roll.
