Do you think we will ever have the ability to have profiles?
I remember requesting this since the early iPad iOS releases and just gave up.
I'm guessing it is too tall an order for the current iOS architecture.
But with the iPad Pro, it would be nice for my wife unlock it, swipe to her picture or icon and have only her apps and settings come up.
Heck, the 2 year old Nook HD did this.
Multi users (at least for an iPad, doubtful for an iPhone) could be a possibility at some point. 9.3 has a new education app for schools that supports multi users. Which could be the first step. Just like how password lock on Notes in 9.3 could be the first step to password lock in other apps.
I'd like to see the following:
-Deeper app linking so apps can share stuff to one another much easier
-Default apps
-FIX THE DAMN THIRD PARTY KEYBOARDS!!!!!!!!!!
-Give widgets on home screens if we want
-Allow us to put homescreen icons anywhere we want to put them
-Dark mode
-Support for using PS or Xbox controllers over an OTG cable
-Extreme battery saver mode
-Customisable control center
-Support mice/trackpads (More so for the iPad Pro than anything else)
Yay! Finally someone didn't just copy paste my list and read my post.I want ......... um........ well dang it you stole all of mine

Why? Instead of micro USB male on one side and USB female on the other, replace it with a lightning male connector on one side and USB female on the other. Especially now that the iPad Pro uses a USB 3.0 interconnect as opposed to the old USB 2.0.Something I've been wondering about your first list. Wouldn't they need to come up with an adapter to make the controllers even be able to plug in as an OTG thing?
Yeah i hate when people do that, it makes it so hard to skim through forumsYay! Finally someone didn't just copy paste my list and read my post.

Apple can make it as well, even though we all know they will charge entirely all too much.So you're expecting Microsoft to come out with a controller that has a lightning on one end? And Sony?

Yes! Especially the Pro! It deserves more than one port and it'll open up a whole lot of possibilities.I could see Apple making a controller, charging 75$ for it, then people it's too expensive and that it shouldn't use up the sole lightning port. That being said, it's a perfect time to add a second lightning port to iOS devices. I'd freaking love a good controller or even a cord to plug in my XBO controller into my iPad Pro.
How about bringing back the iPod app (merge local music and videos) and create an Apple Music app?
Fair point! And kill one of the major benefits of Apple Music? Which is that it blends right in to your own music library.
What you suggest would require someone to:
- leave the "iPod" app
- open Apple Music app
- find something new to listen to or add to your existing library
- leave the Apple Music app
- relaunch the "iPod" app
Not something Apple would want to do for a service they just released and want people to sign up for.
Could Apple create a file explorer that is simply a few folders that lump things in there by file extension? Documents, videos, etc. Is there something technically bad about that idea?
THIS. It really pisses me off that the entire communication system that is an iPhone becomes unusable till the voicemail activates. Why not just be able to have an incoming call show up as a notification while you continue to go about your business on the phone?Stop a phone call from taking over the phone until it goes to VM. If I want to ignore a call, but not send them to VM, I have to wait until it's done ringing to do other stuff on phone
