I'd be satisfied if the only new feature in iOS 10 was split screen multitasking.

We already have that for more of the recent devices. Do you mean for the iPhone?

I want 4 things in iOS 10 and specifically for the iPad Pro line since it has extra features other tablets don't hence the Pro.

#1. USB drive support through lighting jack with adapter
#2. Bluetooth mouse support Apple mouse
#3. Different layout variety of on screen keyboards
#4. Ability to pin sticky notes to my Main homepage.

- Finder for iOS
- Customisable control centre
- Systemwide dark mode for stock apps
- Ability to import music to music.app directly on iOS devices
- Complications on lock screen (like Apple Watch)
- More 3D touch stuff
- Better UI for iPads, make use of the space
- Ability to scale down the whole interface on iPad, just like the "zoom" feature on iPhone but instead of making things bigger, make them smaller...

I posted a longer list here a while back, but was just thinking, it'd be awesome if we could add/edit location data, faces, and tags in the Photos app. I am super obsessive about keeping all my photos tagged, and it's annoying having to do it from the Mac all the time. I'd love to be able to do it on the go from my phone.

We need to be able to reorganize the slide over apps

Yes please... Or let us "pin" apps, let the unpinned ones organize themselves like they do now (very poorly, that should improve along with adding this feature)

My only apps I use with slideover are messages, safari, notes, and this nice calculator app I got on the app store (I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO GO TO THIRD PARTIES FOR A CALCULATOR OR FOR WEATHER ON IPAD, APPLE!!)

But yeah those apps I mentioned are never down where they need to be, they always float away up to where I have to scroll and scroll in order to find them. Very annoying.

All of those are my main wishes too, even if some of them won't affect me at the moment (Importing music, I stream mine, or 3D Touch, I don't have a 6S)

The dark mode thing would be sweet but I bet developers would be super annoying about it and hardly implement it. I don't see why Apple implemented dark mode for OS X but not iOS. However their implementation for OS X was very lackluster anyway, only affecting dropdown menus, the dock, etc. That along with Night Shift sort of shows Apple's apathy toward the feature.

Control center absolutely needs customization and 3D Touch support, iPads need more work so they can allow for more productivity.

Another one (probably already mentioned)

LANDSCAPE MUSIC APP!

I don't have a plus iPhone so I don't get the landscape stuff but I support this, along with the introduction of landscape mode to more stock apps, doesn't matter what it is, it's jarring when you're expecting something to be landscape and it isn't while everything else is.

Better, more granular parental controls across the board. For instance:

It would be nice to integrate web filtering on Safari, or designate a filtered browser as the default browser.

Settings to enforce things like Google Safesearch.

The ability to create a whitelist or require parental approval for Apple Music so kids can be added to a family subscription.

The ability to lock down iMessages/SMS to approved contacts.

Redesign the whole UI. Tired of rows of icons - the same as since it started. Would have Windows phone if they ever had all the apps IOS has. Come up with something original and new or even copy the hubs concept from Windows Phone.

Give us some choices on theming. The Iphone is great as far as reliability and function but it is so boring.

To piggyback on this, they need to plug a hole in one of the ways companies, schools or parents use to enforce certain content filtering parameters. Many of these parental control/monitoring apps install a VPN profile on the phone that forces traffic through their servers which has filtering enabled. And some even have the ability to require a passcode to uninstall the VPN profile. Only problem is, you can still go right to the settings for VPNs and simply turn off the VPN. Profile is still there, but you can shut it off with no problem.

They either need to allow the VPN profile to require a passcode to turn it off or they need to put that setting under the Restrictions section so that you can disallow changes.

• Make iOS as fast as they said they would make iOS9.
• Let me delete stock apps.

And, that's about it I think?
And all A5 units will have no chance to enjoy performance boost it anymore. But deleting stock app is a good idea.
I really hope Apple is considering PiP for 6(S) Plus. And iOS devices should have the ability to run completely independent from iTunes (no iCloud Library is not a useful solution). At least a few of my big wishes from the last thread have already been added to iOS 9. So there isn't much left:

14) 6Plus cut/paste keyboard for the iPad
PiP would be great, and current PiP on iPad is not that great. You can only put PiP on four fixed locations!
Talking about keyboard, even the iPad Pro does not provide direct copy/paste key. Maybe they just use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V. I don't know. I don't have a bigger iPad Pro.

The ability to stream to multiple AirPlay devices from iOS devices... How is this still not a feature?

I only have one gigantic wish: they should create some way, either themselves or allow for third party app creators via some sort of API to enable a way to cut copy and paste between split screen apps with the apple pencil to the notes app or in a perfect world to other notes apps like Evernote.
But if it would just work with the notes app it would be perfectly fine.

I know this is probably too much asked, a true freehand drawing to mark a selection area which the can cut out mode, but at least some fluid copy paste action from anywhere to notes, with the pencil, and then being able to swiftly annotate these cutouts...much like on the old Microsoft courier demos. I'm missing this feature SO badly since I got the pro with the pencil.
It's really a waste.

For starters it would be an improvement to be able to draw on images inside the notes app.

But seriously the whole workflow to create some sort of mood board is so messed up..
Let's say you wanna copy some pictures (with a free form cutout outline) from a PDF to a note. It's literally impossible, in any app right now. Right now you have to make a screenshot, then go to the notes app, insert the screenshot via the "add from camera roll" button. Then you have the entire pdf page in there but can't even cut out only the part that interests you. Nor can you annotate that image.
The whole idea of the ipad pro though, including the pencil SCREAMS for a more natural solution.

Apple should just copy Samsung.

The ability to have more than 1 user

that is kinda funny... apple has asked (well forced) developers to offer their apps for free under the family account, but apple itself is still asking everyone to buy own ipads for every family members because ipad is still a personal device.

wishlist:
- able to run Nova launcher and all missing features would be there.
- a mouse support
