Really hope the iPhone is still support and be able to run and install iOS 10. I still have a iPhone 5 and if I do not upgrade yet I still would like to use the new iOS.

Totally want to see a complete interface change, not just a small refreshed look like before. I want some custom addons to make my phone personal to me.. not just looking like everyone elses.. and cases do not count! But I'm sure none of that will come so I'll just be happy with the small addons they spoon feed everyone.. making them seem great and then 2 months later no one uses.. like 3D touch or live photos.

Am I the only one who despises the photos app. OMG, what an unnecessarily Fisher Priced image depot.
Is it really that hard to show file sizes and names? Other apps do it.

I guess we're not supposed to worry our little heads over such minutiae. Just iMessage it out. Who cares about data plans.

Yeah, pretty much the vast majority of typical users don't even understand and certainly care about size of photos or anything like that.

The problem with iOS 7 and newer is not the slower animation.

Watch this video and you'll get it:

iOS 7 and newer blocks touch input while an animation occurs. This means that animations will feel slower even if they are the same speed.

I noticed the guys thumbnail being entirely too long.

We need to remember that Apple sells iOS 'devices' (as PS calls them) AND computers. Their biggest nightmare is for iOS to replace the mac and everyone using sub $1000 "iPad Devices" and "iPhone Devices".

iOS will always be intentionally crippled to protect the mac. It will NEVER be completely satisfying to use. All you have to do is take a look at the photos app on iOS to see the future. It's f#%ked up like that on purpose.

The whole point of the iPad was so we would buy ANOTHER device. Not replace an iMac with the iPad.

Pretty sure the point of an iPad is it being an iPad (a tablet) and iPhone is it being an iPhone (a smartphone), nothing more, nothing less.

some things I've been thinking about ever since using my iPhone 5s.

1) ability to hide a specific app (or more) with Siri suggestions ON, from the swipe down and swipe right options.
2) more responsive (maybe a bigger frame?) cancel button on the unlock screen, which is painful to use once you made a mistake and seems preferable to just fill the rest with random numbers in order to start again from the top, for us who still keep using a pass to unlock (although my feeling is they want to push people to touch ID)
3) it maybe only me but it seems that the drop down quick reply action for messaging apps only works half of the time, esp. if you don't have good wifi/cellular coverage atm...anyone else experiences this?
4) ability to answer skype, viber, messenger etc. calls WITHOUT having to unlock the freakin phone (change of api I suppose)
5) weather info without having to swipe down to Today. It seems logical to me that the weather info should appear after the amount of idle time needed to read only the date, which is most likely why the user wants to stare at the lock screen for more than that, otherwise they unlock their phone. Or maybe squeeze a sun/cloud icon and two integers to the left or right of the time indication at all times.
6) ability to ask Siri to : "wake me up with this song (currently playing) on the weekends" or "wake me with a song from my X playlist tomorrow, usual time"

Better widget support anyone?
[doublepost=1462069635][/doublepost]Better widget support anyone?

I'd like to see more default widgets available for the Notification Center. In iOS 6, we had a Weather forecast widget and a social media widget for Facebook and Twitter that were removed in iOS 7 and haven't been returned since. The OS X Notification Center has more default widgets available than its iOS counterpart. It still has the social media widget which now also includes LinkedIn and iMessage as well as the Weather forecast plus widgets for iTunes, World Clock, Calculator, etc. If OS X has these widgets available, there's absolutely no reason for them to not be on iOS.

7. WiFi management - list known wifi networks, allowing you to prioritise them, view passwords, forget them without being in range, etc.

Just discovered a mildy amusing use case for why wifi management is needed. The buses in my city provide free wifi, which I tried for the first time on the weekend. This free wifi requires web credentials, which on iOS means when you connect it pops up a web form.

Problem is, their SSID is shared, so now whenever a bus goes past this pops up on my screen. But the bus is never around long enough I can manage the network (eg chosing to forget it), as only those networks in range are available to manage. I'm gonna have to hang around a bus stop just to forget their shared SSID - lol

Literally return to iOS 6 to get rid of stupid bugs glitches and horrific lag.

Add the newer features into 6

Add some nice aero glass like effects similar to the current firmware, but making sure it doesn't bog down performance.

Make Siri more useful

Dark mode

Add small widgets to home screen

Home screen widgets would be very useful, but I'm not holding my breath for them.

I'm surprised that selecting Weekdays for scheduled Do Not Disturb is not a thing after three years.

Quite a few fairly straightforward and useful things could be improved there, just as a number of things could be improved with the alarm portion of the Time app, and yet not much has been done over the years for either one.

Be great to skip a day with alarms. When you have that odd weekday off work and want to disable the alarm but re enable the day after

Be able to undelete iMessages (similar to how photos has a recently deleted folder). It's so annoying if you accidently delete an important thread having to restore from a backup and resync GBs of data...

It's better if we can use a password for Photos and Messages. And also able to select ringtones through Music library. :;)

why do you want people to have to switch to icloud mail vs. me.com - I assume you'd want MAC.COM changed also? Why does it make a difference to you?
