Selectable aspect ratio in the camera app. I just came back from a trip and I want to actually print a photo album. I have over 500 photos to crop to 4X6.

Just lock the phone.

And when you give your phone for someone to use?

My old G5 had an option where, within the stock gallery, I could hide certain photos and videos from appearing. To see them you'd have to choose "show locked files" and use your fingerprint or a password to see them.

This was nice as I put sensitive information (i.e. statements, sensitive screenshots of texts/emails, and of course the occasional nude) so if someone wanted to see my phone, and they go into the gallery, they can't just start swiping and see all my content.

I think the next big "battleground" will be the home, with this I think Siri needs to get third party Apis so that she can access as much or more than amazons Alexa. Siri voice recognition is very good compared to 2011, she needs to be more conversational, more like Alexa and viv (Google for the demo-very impressive). This would also pave the way for an apple Siri speaker for at home.
I hope for an integrated "home" app for controlling all HomeKit devices and setting preferences for services - set local/preferred services so when you ask Siri to buy x product she doesn't have to ask you where you want to buy it from, she already knows!

I also want All the usual things people also want-
Hiding stock apps
Home screen widgets/live icons
Faster animations
Customisable control centre
Carrier logo removed to make way for notifications on status bar a la android

Want to be able to forget networks even when I'm not on it. I travel and connect at hotels etc. and now I'm stuck with it somewhere - I see the networks on my MBP even though it has never left the house. Delete on the MBP and it just re-appears. I guess I can do a network reset but then I have to re-establish the networks I want to use.

want to actually be able to delete stuff - I don't want an app - tried it - don't want it - don't want it to show up in list of purchased apps. Not apps I'm embarrassed about but ones that I'll never use.

Most of all I want an IOS so perfect that there aren't 50 threads right after saying it is the worst update forever or at least since Jobs - it has ruined my device, etc. I'm surprised those threads aren't already out about IOS 10

Split Screen on iPhone as well as iPad. Open source NFC Chip. Apple Pay for smaller town banks. Open source dynamic wallpapers and pano wallpapers like in the iOS 7 beta that they took away. VR integration (on board). wave to lock and unlock, as well as tap on off. facial tracking features. On board find my car feature. Close all open apps button. Like Google Assistant features that allow you to take notes and send things off a page or app on Siri. and the Android N feature that allows you to open links to web pages in the native app even if you don't have that app downloaded. Dark mode as well as night mode.

Edit: sorry for the typos. I'm currently on a bus.

Having just got back from travelling with an LTE/Wifi dongle for Internet - Apple PLEASE let us tag a wifi network as "cellular" or "metered" or whatever you want to call it that causes all apps and iOS to treat it the same as cellular/mobile.

Add the Home button, Double touch to wake option.

Option 1 (General method)
1- Press Home button
2- Hold finger for read finger print
3- Screen wake

Its easy but high costs.

Option 2 (General method)
1- Press Lock button
2- Hold finger on Home button for read finger print
3- Screen wake

Its hard and high costs.

Option 3 (New method)
1- Touch Home button (Release finger)
2- Touch Home button again (Hold finger for read finger print)
3- Screen wake

Its easy and low costs.

It works like Reachability.

This feature should must be work with iPhone 6/Plus or later.

I think its a simple and great software innovation for us like a Night Shift.

With this feature;
- Apple could reduce Lock and Home button service costs. (Because we dont need to press these.)
- Happy people.
- Long-term usable devices.

Filming or making photos and then watching that on a ipad or iphone is horrible.
4k wont be readed and copied with the sd adapter and third part solutions wont play or be REALLY slow.
Apple could easily fix this.
Im also off waiting for ios 10 to decide wich ipad i want to buy because the larger 12,9 ipad has alot of potential but right now its like putting windows 95 on a computer of nowadays.

Actually, stability aside, windows 95 would be better for some things...
I want to be able to install apps outside from the store and I want to be able to unload my files to an external drive.

I actually do use quick reply, but it seriously frustrates me if I miss the send button by a cm, the whole message is erased. FIX!

i wonder what other event did Apple in the same Bill Graham Civic Auditorium? place where they will do the 2016 event

I would like Android esque notifications.

1. In iOS would like to see cascading notification. Now you wake up in the morning to ten different emails in your email account each appearing as a different notification. The Android method has been to reduce those ten to one Notification that says ten unread emails. If you pull down on it it expands to show each different email. Android N takes this a step forward to allow you to pull down on each individual email to see a detailed summary of it and reply to each one inline.

2. An icon in the notification bar of the app for the notification. So many times when I used an iPhone I wished for this feature. Combined with Cascading notifications it will not get to cluttered.

That's my biggest gripe with iOS.

This, and I'm happy:

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's been tired of the flat UI since the week after iOS 7 came out.

What are you on about? Your preferred option 3 already works like that on my 5s. Device is locked, press but depress the home button keeping my finger on it but not pressing it in unlocks the device. Even fewer steps really.

Devices are pretty usable for a good amount of time as they are now. Sure there are some that will have something that gets worn out or doesn't last as long as it should, but it doesn't really seem like it's more than other products out there where some people also have some issues here and there sometimes...basically within the norm of reality.
