You seem to be the only one who can open the website correctly ...
Are you 100% sure your ad blocker is actually working ?

You may want to report/pm to avatar-adg if Adguard is giving you the problem. He's extremely efficient in fixing and very helpful too.

Considering that I don't see ads on websites that I know have ads for sure (such as this one), I can confidently say that my ad blocker is working properly.

@avatar-adg, it's probably already been asked and answered but I can't find it - how often, or what frequency, do the filters get updated in the background?

So far Adguard seems to be the one that's more actively maintained. Have reported some sites still with ads, hope this will be fixed soon.

It's faster than Magic but I feel that Purify is still the fastest so far. It's also quite a hassle to report sites still with ads or have issues.

Guys I have noticed that more and more sites start to block you if you have an ad-blocker enabled.
Is there a way to avoid this?
Adguard has some filter for anti-andblocking but they don't really do the job...
Thanks

Purify is messing up today

The regular latest version

YouTube videos don't show in forums

And in this forum the reply box is missing unless I reload without content blockers

For those of you using Focus, how do the filters get updated? I don't see any options. Are they done on the server side?
I have no complaints as it has been working great since release day but just curios!

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. Seems in a way a bit too murky (=lack of configurability) for my tastes, although it does it's thing really well, so far at least, so I'll keep using it for the time being.

Another question I have re: Focus is should one use it in tandem with a dedicated blocker seeing as how Focus is (at least as I understand it) mainly for blocking trackers? On the other hand it does do a great job hiding ads as well, so.. Yeah. Maybe I have my answer already.

any idea why the same website using the same content blocker isnt blocking some annoying FULL SCREEN ad on a certain site but does on a friend of mine?

its so annoying and used to work just fine. i already tried 5 different content blockers and even cleaned my cache and history

Starting to get a little disappointed in Magic. I've been running the beta for a while now; updated to the most recent this morning. While the blocker itself is perfectly stable (though I do find it somewhat slower still than Purify) it is still letting ads through on certain sites (most egregious are the ads on Slashdot.org). I've reported this with every update and they're still getting through. They don't get through with other blockers (currently I only have Purify installed as an alternative since that was the first blocker I paid for).

Is there anyone here that's still using Crystal? Want some opinion on its performance aside from the upcoming acceptable ads incident/update. I personally really like its performance so far however, there are some websites I visit that it blocks videos on and they aren't ads either. They're news sites like CBC.ca and they have videos on the article and it blocks it. Aside from that, I am very satisfied with Crystal's performance. It's based in the UK (the developer) so I was wondering if anyone else outside of the UK like myself have these types of issues. Some times it does also block scripts (I think that's what they're called) that would be undesirable to block, however, it's not that big of an issue. Thoughts on Crystal?
