I was able to take advantage of the 14 day refund for Purify, so that I could buy it (again) at the lower price. I told Apple exactly why I wanted a refund. If the new update was here already, I would have felt better about the $3.99. Paying $0.99 feels much better for what the app is at this moment.

Thank you Apple for the great support.
I've been working with the AdMop developer on the Yahoo sponsored ads issues. He finally was able to solve it and his new rules set blocks Yahoo sponsored ads using my 6+ and iPad Air 2!

I have to tell you, this developer is such a nice person. He's very receptive to feedback and wants to solve issues that crop up. AdMop is one of the content blockers to watch, especially if he adds a few more options.
So is admop your current favorite?

For some reason, sponsored ads still show on Yahoo (iPad Air) using AdMop.

I still prefer Silentium, because the app feels more finished. It also has options like whitelisting and does a great job overall. AdMop dev seems very committed to his app. I've already sent him a list of things I would like to see in future versions. This is the one I'm keeping my eye on for sure.

No, I need the CSS element that contains the sponsored ad. I wish I had a desktop machine :(

Yikes! Did you update the rule set within the app?

Please send him and e-mail and tell him you are using iPad Air. Have no idea what would be different? Odd.

Holy mackerel! I just noticed Crystal is taking an App Store review pounding. Down to 3 stars.

Wasn't Crystal just about a 5 star app before the announcement he would be working with Eyeo?

Yes. He also took a pounding on his Twitter feed. It got so bad, he said he was going to take a few days off from Twitter.

Wow! I wonder if he'll change his mind? I thought the way he handled it was fine, but folks against this move are very passionate about their position.

I think it will get worse for him, once the new release comes out.
The checks from Eyeo will be a consolation.

I noticed that adblockers in general have mostly dropped off the bestseller lists. At the moment I only see Crystal and Purify. The advertisers will proabably breathe a sigh of relief.

I think alot of people have settled on one and are waiting to see if any get better or faster.

It was a 5 star app.. before the dev created a conflict of interests.

Blocking the following sometimes works, but sometimes not....? Sal from 1Blocker is sorting it though and will be out in the next release. I'm on the beta so will let you know if all is good...

What about the following?

<a class="adlink fz-xxs rapid-noclick-resp ad-link-icon" href="http://hsrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KLtYTj...zLmh0bWw-/RS=^ADAr2vPPz_8hHt3s6wi9PNoXGY.Hho-" target="_blank"><i class="img-sprite"></i></a>

In this case you should block .adlink and .ad-link-icon using CSS blocking rules.
BTW, made the big Essentials list update for Ad Block Multi and successfully getting rid of yahoo sponsored articles and more AdChoices on some sites.

I think we will see more mutating or random classes/ids for ads in the future. It's not too hard to implement that server-side. More challenges for ad blocking software.

I’d like to test that. Still accept betatester

The app is on the App Store and rules are updated remotely, no need to participate in any beta-tests.
