Tortilla is the actual location. Drove by the other local and it is a landscaping business and local area tours.

btw - other half says the massage was awesome!!!!

I submitted a correction...still unsure why NAMTI has the two locations on their site. They only list one actual address in the text at the bottom of the same page, but can totally see why this happened.

And now I feel like I really need a massage...

Thanks!
Just got back home last night and was going to do that.

Used Apple Maps on my drive to work (using CarPlay). (Partially because Waze didn't seem to like the Beta - will try again when I go back to work next week. I only use Waze when I drive into NYC because of all the cameras. LOL)
Anyway, some thoughts on their implementation of Camera Notification and some changes I will send in the feedback for:
(1) Only shows Red Light and Speed cameras if you are using actual directions. If you know where you are going and just have the app open (again this was on CarPlay) it ignores the cameras. Perhaps because the app does not know exactly what direction you are going in - but come on, if it is on the street/road in front of the car???
(2) Wish the icons for the cameras were a bit larger and differentiated between Red Light and Speed Cameras.
(3) Wish I could just have voice for alerts - like in Waze. I generally - especially if I am pretty sure where I am going - keep the sounds muted, which also mutes the camera alerts. At least Waze has pop-up alerts on the screens for upcoming cameras and you can set the app to just talk for alerts.

I wonder where Apple Maps will be getting their camera information from. (Locations, type of camera, etc.) If it's from Look Around data from the last time the car came through, it would be quite out of date. The Apple Maps car came through New York City in June 2019, and we've had many new cameras installed since then.

And unlike Waze, Apple Maps doesn't come with a built in feature for reporting cameras. To report a missing camera, we'd likely have to go into the generic "Report a problem" button.

I was wondering the same thing. We shall have to stay tuned.

I’m wondering if this is going to be a problem for the rollout of Look Around (or maybe Apple’s own map as a whole) in the EU and the EEA (European Economic Area). The imagery collected is stored and processed in Apple’s data centers in the United States to blur things out like faces and license plates. I also just read on Reddit that Apple has added select parts of three more countries (Finland, Norway and Sweden) to their Image Collection page, out of which all three could be affected by this ruling.

Any thoughts?

I don't have an idea of how it would play out, but I could see this being an issue. If it means they don't get Look Around...I can see two sides as a result of it. One one side, you'll have people who are happy about the court ruling protecting them and their privacy. On the other side...people are going to be pretty PO'd that it could cost them in terms of features.

Although, now that I've said that...being a US company, Google will suffer from this as well. If this is a blow to Look Around, it'll probably be a blow to Street View sometime down the line also.

Noticed an issue when I park my car. The map app used to keep the location - assuming the iPhone was connected to the car like it always is via either BlueTooth or CarPlay - and I could then find the location on my Apple Watch (if I forgot where the car was LOL). Don't remember having this issue before the Beta 2 install.
Lately it doesn't save the location of the car - even on the iPhone. And stranger the last parked car location I don't even remember being at recently. And have definitely parked in different locations lately and those are were not indicated.
And yes, I am pretty sure GPS is working properly because when I turn off Wifi, BlueTooth and Cellular the Map app still locates where I am.

I don’t know if anyone post this before or if this is the right place to post this, but I just find out that when you turn on the Flyover feature, it turns the front camera on.

I just tried on my iPad and can confirm that the camera dot pops up. Also, I had a little popup at the top of the screen with the AR cube symbol and "low detail" in the popup.

That’s used for the Augmented Reality Flyover feature that was added in iOS 11 for Flyover tours over cities and landmarks. I guess they combine the input from the camera and other sensors to track your device as you move it through three dimensional space as accurately as possible.

Apple maps already blues out licence plates and faces on look around.
This will be enough to get around it. If not then Apple will just host EU images on EU servers.

The problem is that the imagery still contains personal information like faces and license plates when the data is delivered in encrypted form to the data centers in the United States. Even though no humans see the data, the simple act of storing and processing that data to blur out personal information would make Apple non-compliant to GDPR, at least according to this ruling.

I have a weird bug lately where instead of home or work, it will suggest some generic location "Near E Broad St" Don't know why or if I can remove it somehow. And it only happens sometimes.

That was happening to me for a while on regular iOS 13.4 or 13.5 a few months back. Instead of the usual suggestion of going to "Work", it was instead suggesting "Near Street My Office is On". The problem went away on its own after a few days.

Figured out how to kill it. It showed up this morning, and I swiped left on it and tapped delete.

Still having an issue with parked car location after updating to the PB2. Park car and the Maps app (whether the iPhone 11 was connected via CarPlay or Bluetooth) will not usually save the location. Sometimes I can do a search for Parked Car and the right place will show up but usually it is a location in another part of NJ that I don’t even remember stopping at lately. I can delete that location but it comes back.
And nothing shows up on my AW5 because it is still on WatchOS 6.2.8.

In terms of reporting map issues, the method is seemingly unchanged from iOS 13.

And MozMan...guess what I did NOT find? Yep...entrance edits! Well, kind of. If you're on a POI card for a place that is already on the map...I can't find an option to edit entrances. You can "refine" the location of a marker, but you can't edit the entrances to said location. If you want to edit entrances...you have to tap the "i" in the top right corner to add a missing place...and then it gets even more specific than that. Under "Missing Place Type" you have to select "Street or Address". From there, you can edit location AND entrances.

that’s because you have to get directions to the place and report an issue with the route. Trust me.

I think he knows that...we were discussing the feature introduced briefly last year in early betas that let you place multiple entrance points and also defined by walking, driving, etc.

I've been able to find the edit spot and have submitted a fix for Panera like three times now, and I never get any sort of feedback, and it is still broken. The end of the route is when you first enter the mall area, but if someone doesn't know the area, they will not know where to continue to find Panera.

That’s where the enhanced entrance feature was so nice. They have been defaulting to the parking lot entrance now for most and that can leave you further away than you want.

I have to assume based on having it a year ago they are working on a better way to implement.

My iPhone randomly goes to sleep when Maps is in driving directions mode. At random interval, iPhone's screen dims goes to sleep several seconds later. It will then require a Face ID unlock, which is not something I want to do while driving.
