Anyone got the Lifeproof Nuud for the iPhone 8 Plus? Thinking of getting it for my holiday, wanted to know if it's any good?

Thinking of getting it from here - https://www.mobilefun.com/apple/iphone-8-plus/cases

While the dimensions are the same as the 7, many will want a new case for their new iPhone. What case are you planning on getting for your iPhone 8 or 8+, especially to the advantage of inductive charging?
I just got a new iPhone 8 for Christmas, I was looking around for a case and I came across a Space Jam themed case. I fell in love instantly and bought the case. This is where I got the case... https://phonecasenetwork.com/collec...unny-and-michael-jordan?variant=2519948492832 I highly recommend for basketball fans.

...so you’re telling me that you just now—in 2018—purchased a Space Jam case? (And were so excited about it that you started an MRF account just to post about it?) Well ok then....

Had some struggles with the Peel case.

First one: went on fine and fit well, but was impossible to remove. Peel sent me a free replacement since I had to destroy the first one to get it off.

Second one: absolutely would not go ON the phone. Peel sent me another new free one after acknowledging they needed to adjust the fit for the iPhone 8 (since it's marginally thicker than the 7).

Third one (updated fit): went on much easier and fit well, very solid product after tweaking fit. However over time it has just slightly started to get loose/clicky along the volume side, but still usable even after removing it several times.

Decided to pick up another as a backup.

Fourth one: Fit was on point again, so I decided to keep this one on and use the third one as my backup instead, but by day 4 it was super loose/clicky on the volume side. I didn't mention anything to Peel since they were cool about the first two cases, so I ordered a fifth one.

Fifth one: Upper volume cutout was poor. Sent them a pic and they said it looked normal to them but it definitely wasn't considering this was case #5 I'd had from them and the other 4 all had great cutouts.

Peel then offered a return, so I returned the fourth/fifth ones and am awaiting a refund, and currently using my third one. To date I'm only out $25 (first two cases should've never been sold, and 4th/5th were defective). So props to Peel's customer service.

But, I've decided to try the literally seemingly identical Tozo and that arrives tonight, hoping for better luck.

Is the Silk Bass Grip case tight around volume buttons?

I would have quit after the 2nd failed attempt. I've read mixed things about Peel cases but never read anything bad about Caudabe, they'd be my first try for a minimalist case.

Trying to decide between the Nomad Rugged or the Burkley 360 case for my iPhone 8 plus. Does anyone have either of these cases. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I considered the Caudabe but it has a slight bit of a texture on it compared to the Peel which I didn't want. Also considered Totallee, but the cutouts weren't even good on the images on the website, so that was out.

Ultimately I really, really liked my Peel and decided to take a risk on the Tozo since it seemed like it was identical, and sure enough, it absolute is. Totally happy with it. No doubt it came out of the same mold in the same factory as the Peel.

It's all on personal preference

Wallet cases, for me, are only to replace my wallet when we're out and about socialising or out for a meal etc...

I'll take one card and I've Apple Pay set up, so it's more than enough for my needs :)

What is the best thinnest case for the 8 Plus with decent drop protection? I have a OtterBox Commuter right now, but it makes the phone rather large and uncomfortable to hold. I love the camera cut out, so that the camera sits “inside” the case a decent amount. Also, the lip on the screen is great.

I find my Spigen 'Tough Armor' and NeoHybrid cases very good indeed, built very well/very solidly and can take a drop with zero issues

The NeoHybrid is thinner and smoother, the Tough Armor is chunkier, but both are thinner than the Otterbox

Either of these with a decent tempered glass screen protector and the phone is very well protected IMO

I’ll look into those thanks! The Apple silicone cases looked super nice and thin, but they leave the bottom of the 8 Plus totally exposed.

It depends on how you treat your phones. I’m very careful with mine but have had the silicone case since the 6S (Got it on the 7, 8 and now the X) and have not had any issues with the bottom being exposed on any phone.

Is it the thinnest case possible to get?

I would say so. I’ve honestly haven’t tried any other cases yet because I’m spoiled by how grippy and how good the silicone case feels. I hate slippery cases. Want a clear one for my X but need to find a good one.

Probably doesn’t add much weight to the 8 Plus does it? Also, how well does the case protect the camera and screen? My OtterBox Commuter has a deep cut out for the camera and a nice lip around the screen.

Picked up a Nomad Leather case in Slate Grey for $20 on sale.

Love the look, fit and feel, I just can’t get the buttons to line up/work. I’ve emailed Nomad to negotiate a replacement.

Has anyone bought any of the Apple Leather cases from amazon? They’re currently $35.00 for the 8 plus version. Are they the real deal?

As a follow up to this, I have to admit I was "breaking in" my buttons in the wrong direction. Now that my buttons are working, I love my Nomad leather case. I got the black leather, and it feels just like my boots. Couldn't be happier.
