We call these Strawman arguments, with a bit of “won’t someone please think of the children?” sprinkled in.
Where’s the strawman? Does he not invite neofascists, climate change denialists and antivax wackos? Are we talking about the same show? You call it strawman because you don’t know what a strawman is.

About the “think of the children”, you completely misunderstood my point. I was just taking an example of opinions that exist but are universally considered unacceptable and unworthy of broadcasting.
But since you mentioned that aspect… he did invite Milo Yiannopulous a few times, right? That makes my hyperbole wrong because he actually invited someone who doesn’t even agree with basic common sense about child molesting. So… sorry about that, I guess.

Not sure if you have no idea of who you’re talking about or just don’t care or even condone the dangerous ethical consequences of his “open-mindedness”.

Joe Rogans opinions on polarizing topics like Covid and wokeness are a tad different than being pro child molesting. This is a bit over the top.

That was a hyperbole. I just meant to show some opinion not worthy of any consideration do clearly exist.
Neofascism is one of those, right there with people who think it’s fine to molest anybody.
And the problem is not about his opinions (he’s a moderate in many ways) but what people he invites say. He does invite and (very mildly) debates fascists.

Some embarrassing juvenile responses here. If you don't like him, don't listen. I don't.

Also: if you can't handle "misinformation" or "disinformation" or "misdisinformation" then you are the problem. Because it's coming at us like a firehose from EVERY SINGLE DIRECTION.

Calm down and grow up.

I don't understand all the vitriol towards Rogan. I don't agree with everything he says or does, but silencing dissenting opinions isn't a good idea. It's a podcast, there are thousands if not millions of podcasts you could choose to listen to or not listen to.
They are people who can't make a cogent case for their own ideas, so they put all their energy into trying to control what the rest of us can and can't see. It's exhausting.

Love it!!! I hate the Spotify player even more than the Apple one!

Guess y'all missed the Bernie interview, Abby Martin, Jimmy Dore, Tulsi Gabbard? I can almost taste the tears!

This practice of driving a dump truck full of money up to Joe Rogan’s house is why I left Spotify — a platform I loved — in 2020. Sadly this deal means I can’t go back for another few years, but I’m basically used to Deezer at this point anyway so it’s all good.

Not a fan of his misinformation so I don't listen, however deplatforming generally just amps up their exposure, so just ignore it and let it fade into obscurity.

it will be a lot more effective to tackle misinformation in the media (looking at you faux news & daily mail).
Better stop watching /reading most main stream media outlets then pal

People take him way too seriously on here. He's a wannabe comedian with a talkshow. He sucks at being a comedian (in my opinion) but he's funny enough as a host of a pod or a UFC match. I stopped listening to him entirely when he went to Spotify, but his guests are mostly considered subject matter experts with differing interpretation of science, medicine, politics and culture. He's done a decent job in giving every side a chance to talk. He's a self proclaimed 'meathead' so I don't know why people here think he's actually the cause of misinformation. If some of his audience choose to believe some of his guests over others, then that's their prerogative. He's merely providing a choice. One side can't just completely shut down the voices of others because they don't believe or agree with what they are saying, regardless of their version of the facts. His inner circle comedian friends are equally unfunny as him and when he has them on or his MMA buddies, that's a waste of air. But his political, science, medicine and culture guests, are usually worth a listen or at minimum a proper way to use a platform. I think his approach to mix serious topics with his attempt at comedy and his 'bro-science' speak, confuses some people. Some prefer that entertainers stay in their subject lanes I guess? Apple never banned him nor do they pay him. Jon Stewart was a totally different scenario where AppleTV+ was paying him to make content, tried to intervene when he wanted to criticize China I believe? And JS decided to move on because of this moderation. People should be more upset at Apple for this insane censorship, than anything that Rogan has vomitted out of his mouth.

Funny, those who say his podcast expresses extreme views and spreads misinformation are the very people who are actually spreading extreme views and spreading disinformation.

It’s the mainstream media and establishment’s desperate attempt to cling to power, but it’s not working. People are waking up to their lies thanks to people like Rogan and independent journalists who are actually practicing journalism.

Exactly. Most of what was called “misinformation” turned out to be fact. And the mainstream media refuses to update or report on any of it.

What Rogan is practicing is many thing, but it's not journalism. He very rarely challenges his guests with interesting questions, which makes most interviews boring and a waste of time. I tried to listen to some shows where he had more controversial guests, but there is really not much you can learn from them.
