The G2 was nice and the G3 looks to be as well but the rear buttons kill it for me

Actually you get used to the rear buttons. They come in handy when I want to change tracks or volume while the phone is in my pocket. Most phones you have to feel for the buttons on the side on this phone they are right were you can get to them when the phone is in your pocket. Actually works out nice and since it is a double tap to unlock I rarely use the power button to turn the phone on and I side across the bottom to turn the phone off.

----------

LG G3 is decent upgrade in all terms. Screen , battery , camera ,all have been updated . It has a new graphical UI and has some advanced features like kncok code , smart security , smart notice etc . All in all its a good smartphone . But it can be skipped if you are a G2 user as it is not that big upgrade over the G2

Get the full list of specifications of the LG G3 here
http://www.frisle.com/lgs-answ...ung-and-htc/

Your probably right but doesn't the G3 have an SD card slot? Removable battery would be nice too although the G2 battery life is fantastic. I wonder if someone could make an app to measure distance with the camera laser (I'm sure someone will). I'm sure the G2 will get the updated UI one way or another. The CPU is not a big deal the G2 is pretty strong already although 3GB of RAM would be kick a$$.

i dont understand the deal with the ram, why offer 16gb storage with 2gb ram only

Probably because they think the average user that don't need more than 16GB internal storage won't need the extra RAM. Then again who knows what these OEM think nowadays. Probably more inline with more profit margin for them or something in lines with that.

US versions will have 32GB/3GB but Euro versions will have 16GB/2GB at launch, at least that's how it will work in the UK

I predict it'll make the resale value of the 16gb version struggle as everyone will want the better SKU version memory wise.

Me neither :(
My 2009 3GS already had 32GB embedded... For those not using streaming and cloud, 64GB should be a minimum!

You do understand that the poster you are quoting is refering to memory as RAM not memory as STORAGE .... the fact LG has chosen to offer only 2GB to 16gb users and 3Gb to 32gb storage users. All LG G3's support MicroSD so can be upgraded storage wise, but those choosing or having no option other than 16gb storage get stuck with the "lessser" 2gb model.

If LG were truly happy with 2GB why did they bother having 3gb option in the first instance.. the implication being that 3GB is indeed better in the device, in which case all models should have had 3gb. Its a terrible idea to begin fracturing the G3 market with differing sku's outside of just storage.

Exactly, dont why LG did this  almost like they are forcing people that have a little bit more knowledge to buy the more expensive model.

What about the new screen ? will the 2gb version have any issues dealing with the screen ? i dont really know if it will make a difference but if it does that wrong on LG part.

You mistaken my post :p but for the love of god i think its time for this companys to ditch 16gb and start with 32gb while keeping the same price point.

Surprised there isn't a thread up about this phone yet.

With the LG G2 having one of the best screens, best cameras and best batteries of 2013 the LG G3 has a lot to live up to.

So far here are the rumors:

1440x2560 resolution screen that measures 5.5 inches. 534 pixel-per-inch (ppi) density

Instead of choosing Qualcomm’s beastly Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor, LG will apparently opt for its very own octa-core Odin processor. That means the G3’s brain will have four 2.2GHz Cortex-A15 cores and another four 1.7GHz Cortex-A7 cores for less demanding tasks.

13MP rear camera with 4k recording. A leaked image supposedly captured with the G3’s camera suggests that, although the resolution remains the same, it has been refined to deliver impressive detail.

Wow, I am amazed at the picture quality. I saw the live streaming for the LG G3 yesterday and I was reallly impressed. But with that said, I'm just more attracted to the iPhones. The design of it is hard to compete with.

I agree....but what is interesting is why don;t they? I mean they get all the marketing info that we guess or figure out ourselves. They have a very highly paid staff to promote their products. Why not advertise? It makes no sense to me. They don't have to spend as much as Samsung or Apple does but they need to have a presence. Advertising that is informative that shows how good their products are in everyday uses.

They are like HTC? Can't be bothered advertising?

Beautiful phone. I loved my G2, but I couldn't stand the buttons on the rear, just could never get used to them. Also lack of a stylus drove me towards the Note 3. Same issue with the G3, great phone but just not for my needs.

It's approaching 3 years since the original Galaxy Note. I can't believe that the other OEMs haven't yet figured out that there is a huge demand for phones with a precision stylus.

G3 next to the Z2......I think the G3 has a better design. Look at the bezels on the Z2! It is amazing how the G3 has a bigger screen yet manages to be about the same size. Can't wait to try one out........Rumors are mid June for it to reach the carriers in the US. More pics side by side with the current flagshjip phones......

Those photos of the G3's rear panel aren't doing LG any favors, especially having placed next to the M8. Look how unevenly the light reflects off the panel vs. the even consistency you see on the M8--indicates it's uneven or irregularly shaped. Putting it next to the other 3 makes it look cheap with crappy build quality--heck even the Galaxy S5 look much more premium and put together.

I thought the same thing when I first saw them too. Hopefully it was just the lighting and it looks better in person......
I think the front view makes up for it though. :) especially the white one in the first pic.

I saw that on XDA....but that was the international version. Root has not been confirmed on the carrier models yet........

As I will get the international version, this is good news for me...
But as there are lots of talented people over there on XDA, it won't take long to root the carrier versions.

Nice! I heard that the CM team is going to support the G3 as well. So Dev support is looking good for the G3.....

Yes, support will be great for sure.
As there is already a complete system dump available, some devs already started their development, and as you mentioned, CM will also be in the house.
