The overriding theme seems to be 'great display' but 440ppi and 534ppi isn't as big a jump as may have thought, and lack of optimised content. Quite a view have mentioned viewing angles aren't as good as the S5 or M8.
I am conflicted .... Do I want it just for the sake of wanting to see it ? After my disappointment with the Z2 I will try to hold off ... If I can
I'm so close to pre-ordering. If I don't get the OPO invite tomorrow, I will be.
UK & IRELAND seem to be only getting 16gb version, so I'll get one from Germany where they have the 32gb and pre-order and get the wireless charger free.
do you need to ask ?
I was on their forums this morning an NO ONE has gotten any invites yet......

As great as this G3 is, sadly the truth is, will be forgotten in a few short months, after phones like the Note 4 and Nexus-Six are released in 3 to 4 months, and possible 'Prime' versions of the S5 and M8. And LG is just not a big name phone brand to the public, compared to Apple and Samsung, and even HTC a little. So the G3 may be the hot new awesome phone to us a tech geeks today, come a few months from now, the public won't even really know about it.
But good for us, I see the G3 being on bargain sale this Fall. Even brand new last year, the G2 was much cheaper off contract compared to flagships from Samsung, Apple, and HTC. I think the G2 was like $549 brand new a year ago, while the others were like $650 / $700.
And on 2yr contracts, the carriers were almost giving away the G2 like just two months after release. I see the same for the G3, a great phone for the price if you just wait it out a couple months.
I'm going to quote this in both threads when you post your Z2 and G3 review threads.

I wish LG and the G3 all the best, but after my Nexus 4 with poor viewing angles, and a yellowish tint on the screen, I gave up on LG. My Brother has the Nexus 5, same thing, seems a bit washed out, and fuzzy from an angle.
Where as my One M8 looks amazing, super clear, very bright from an angle. Not sure whose panels HTC uses, but they have always been very sharp.
I am still super happy with my M8 two months on. Only other phone on my horizon, is maybe the Note 4, as long as it's not larger then the Note 3, or the Nexus-Six, if they put a good size battery in it for once, and not made by LG. I heard the next Nexus phone might be made by Asus or HTC.
Do you think the pink or purple version would ever make it to the states?
I never thought i would buy a Samsung phone but a LG would be hitting rock bottom for me. Just couldn't do it.
Must admit that I have had the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 and TBH the phones have been superb. The write ups of the G2 on a UK tech mag put it as their phone of the year, I wouldn't be surprised if the G3 equals that also. I previously thought the same way as you, now however, I have completely changed my mind, they are well worth a look.
Over at XDA first users are reporting overheating and low battery.
Others don't have these problems.
