LG G3 Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8 side by side

Nice comparison.....
Nice job LG....they made a larger screen fit in about the same size as the rest of the flagship phones.

Man the G3 looks so sexy. Aside from LG and somewhat Samsung, they're the only ones who truly embrace the small bezel concept. I don't know why other OEMs can't jump on board. If HTC could grasp this, they would be right back in the mix.

Thats pretty big. Its bigger than the S5 and imo the M8 is too long for my liking.
I agree....5.5 is pretty big...but if they can make it fit in almost the same dimensions as my S5 then I will get one. But i did have the Note 3 and it was a great phone but just a little uncomfortable for me to use. We will see on Tuesday.

Fantastic looking phone.
I can't see confirmation or otherwise that there's an SD card slot though.
The G2 had an SD card/removable (and smaller) battery in one region's release, I hope they don't repeat that.

A 3000mah battery, SD card and no ridiculously large CE etc logos on the back and I'm sold... If I'm not already.

According to that image, it will be taller than the S5 and the same as the M8. I like it...its just getting to be too big. The S5 is a bit taller than my Nexus 5 but i didnt mind that since it was a slight difference but didnt care for the M8's length.

Too bad they could not release two phones. One a 5 inch like the N5 and the 5.5 inch one that is leaking out now. I love the N5.....

Taller and wider than the S5 which is already a big phone.

Size creep is really getting out of hand. Throw in a mm here and mm there and you've got a phablet after a couple of years.

Sold my Note 3. This one will have to completely blow me away whereby its size does not matter because it would be too good to pass up.

Sadly, I think Apple joining the larger screen effort is only going to make the android phone makers resort to even bigger phones next year.

Nokia already had the 1520, and then there is the LG Flex. For a phone it's ridiculous. Let's just call them tablets at this point.

I think, LG is trying to outdo S5 ans Note 4 with G3. May be 5.5" screen is forced on them with 2k display. Just checked G2 which is offered for $0 with upgrade. It is a best phone for $0 with contract.

Most if not all of T Mobiles best phones are $0 down with no contract.

We checked out for ATT. S5 is for $150. S4 is for around $40. My friend is almost decided to get S4. I convinced him to get G2 for $0. Samsung swamped store with different phones. M8 is for $199.

LG Dutch website says G3 is made of metal!!??

Also specs aren't that great IMO. Going from Snapdragon 800 in the G2 to 800 in the G3 almost a year later isn't worth any upgrade. Still 2GB RAM apparently, don't care for QHD screen at all (worst battery life probable), phone is bigger and wider (prefer G2 size), battery is still 3000, camera is also 13Mpx but with improved OIS+, microSD is nice but G2 already had 32GB model, etc.

So why buy G3???? G2 is cheap right now.

Tomorrow is the big day.

Samsung better start looking at LG and stop being so focused on Apple. They are stepping up.

Though I think for the most part it will be a lateral move in terms of experience compared to the M8 and S5. Just depends on what you're looking for.

Things will get real interesting once the 805 drops in the Note 4 probably.

Lets see how they do with unlocking the bootloader and root. HTC makes it pretty easy to flash roms. The G2 was pretty easy too. But let see how it goes. Right now Samsung really locks the phones down....
