To me its a tossup between PB and gold. Leaning towards gold especially if it’s more scratch resistant. Since I’m going the 12 Pro Max I’ll have ample opportunity to check out the color in person.

you’ll have to order it quickly because my mom ordered the gold 12pro recently, two days ago in fact and she’s not getting it until November 18 because she said the gold is the most popular according to Verizon and it takes longer to get

Here’s another great video and a better look with the lighting he used. The more muted back is actually starting to grow on me very much. Nice contrast between the shiny gold bezel around the phone. I assume we will get a lot more unboxing videos tomorrow.

If the back really is more muted, I may just upgrade and get it. The thing that always turned me off with the other gold iPhone’s was that it was always more pink.

Wow...Surprised.. I would have thought people would have gone for the blue... or maybe that's what apple thought.. I'm guessing they didn't make the same amount in all the colors... Will try to order through Apple at 5am PST Nov 6 so hopefully I'll get it relatively quickly.

The gold isn’t as yellow gold as they revealed in the keynote. It looks like it gets bright yellow when lights shine on it and the finish absorbs it.

Looks like a pale champagne gold like the current S6 watch.

Just opened mine, it's the opposite of blingy. Doesn't "pop" like I thought it would. Clear case subdues it even further. That said I've probably had 5 Space Grey iPhone's and sometimes change is good.

They say there is a coating on the stainless steel on the gold model to help prevent scratches.

I will say the back is like a nude / bandaid color. I like it Coming from the green of the 11, I wanted a lighter color.

I just unboxed mine too and I'm surprised by this! I don't necessarily hate it but the back absolutely looks silver under the lightning conditions in my house. The band is clearly gold but the back is just not. Interesting...
