I just can't do another HTC after the HTC One X (which was supposed to flagship for a year and then was superseded by HTC One X+, butterfly J & Droid DNA) whilst software rollout for the HTC One X's Sense 4.1 was just excruciatingly painful and protracted with HTC not seemingly aware of it's arse from its elbow.

Global rollout meaning 1 territory ? come on...

Add battery life issues and a ton of bugs in my HTC 8X alongside the most awkward power button and my last two HTC phones have really turned me off them which is sad....
1. HTC ONE X was flagship
2. HTC ONE X+ was the phablet of HTC, didn't have as good support.
3. J Butterfly was a for Japan
4. HTC DROID DNA, was not HTC's flagship, but Verizon's flagship, HTC make it for them, and hand it over, just as OEM's do for Nexus devices.

Why are you quoting a post from February?

Why is this?

I think perhaps it was a last minute addition ?

Here's a snapshot of the settings for it

It took me couple of mins to work out that screenshot can now be snapped from quick settings and then instantly shared to dropbox etc..... :)

You did receive the initial camera update no? I am thinking of those who never received it (like myself). I assume your camera module is exactly the same version number as before.

Good question as I changed CID and put a new 401 european unbranded rom on it, it was back to 1.28 and then I first got the 1.29 update but never checked the changelog and then after a smaller app update, I got the 4.2.2 update ...

Check your camera version...

Mine is now version : 5.05.607166

That seems a different software version from before, must check older post to see If i can dig up what it was before.

Ok my previous camera version with the fix software was... 5.0.582172

So clearly this is a newer camera software in 4.2.2

Why is this?

=T

WTF, that must be a glitch, they wouldn't go all Samsung on us (Samsung locked the dock in a Australian SGS3 update).

Restart and check that you have widget lockscreen compatible apps, maybe the apps have to make it compatible.

If not, HTC should fix this is a soon to be update.

Just downloaded dash clock

YES !!! You can assign dashclock as the widget, so you are right you must have lockscreen compatible apps.

Thank you !!!

It would appear that you are thus 2 camera updates ahead of us (this is also to soothe couch) :)

NP :D Happy to help, you guys are awesome! :)

Edit: Try downloading Powertoggles or UCCW to confirm it is all compatible, and not just HTC ONE LSW compatible :)

P.S. Anywhere I can download the update?

4.2.2 changes are subtle but appreciated.

Being able to move home screens around now make it easier to assign new screens as home without faffing with moving widgets or app shortcuts.

Quick toggles mean I don't need settings extended.

Battery percentage likewise.

Gallery... YES YES YES you can indeed remove friends / facebook stuff so you don't get bombarded with it every time you open gallery.

Instagram support built in is handy in blink feed.

Widget lockscreen is restricted to google widgets so some of you hoping for dashclock thing will still have to use widget locker instead, but not a big issue.

Benchmarks slightly higher than it did before for me ....
Quadrant = 12,929 Antutu = 24,987

It's as snappy as ever and no lag

Google Now works more intuitively with being a slide up from home button (same as nexus devices I believe) and yes the dreaded 3 ... menu is dead (assuming you enable it in settings)

Fixes I have noticed so far....

My .mac email account in mail used to duplicate mail when sending - this has been fixed.

Google Play Music album art stretching bug seems to be fixed too.

Camera is much the same :( but Zoe has been improved.

Any questions ask......

Even in 4.2.2 there is no percentage in the status bar :( in stock

I followed the 4.2.2 instructions on XDA

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42085602&postcount=1

Will try those later for you. :)

Thanks :)
I think I will wait till International version leaks, or for an Aussie version, I don't like unlocking bootloaders, personally preference. Plus it is my fathers phone (as I may have said to you in other thread I own N4, and he a HTC ONE), and he is new to android and is weary of bootloader unlock/rooting stuff.

27° in Ireland?
Must be photoshoped ;)

LMAO.. Got as high as 28 degrees at one point... It was unbearable :D Bring back the 10 degree highs :p mind you we have had 5 years of rainy summers (where it rained - everyday at some point) so this really is quite the novelty :)
