Some stutter the first time you swipe through (I believe because of buffering) but then it's super smooth. At least on my 12.9" iPad Pro.
Why is this still an issue? I guess smooth scrolling is something we will never see again in that part of Apple music. Not only stutters but looks "jumpy". Why not buffer everything FIRST, then load the screen. Id gladly wait 2-3 seconds for my albums to load if it meant no more epileptic scrolling.

No, I can risk installing it on my iPad and I just never really bothered to do it on my iPhone SE because I didn't want to have to restore my device down the road and lose some of my data.

Why would you have to restore and lose stuff?

I installed the latest beta over the weekend, upgrading from iOS 9, and am also disappointed with the music app. The design isn't what bothers me though, it's the ability to show only the music on my phone. I know I can do that via the "Downloaded Music" option but it only sorts by album. This is a pain to scroll through when I there is a specific album by a specific artist I want to listen to. If I go into the Artists section it lists everything ever purchased in iTunes. I much prefer the old way of showing only what's on my phone and sorting it by artist. Click on that, find the album, done.

I suppose it's possible I'm missing the function, but I've been through the entire music app and the music settings and see no way of sorting like I used to. Very disappointing.

Agree. Why is it so hard to see just the music on my phone and not everything I ever purchased from iTunes?

Agree too. Also if you have a lot of music on your phone navigating by Artist or Album becomes cumbersome, which is why I tend to use search. Unfortunately in iOS 10 you can no longer do a local search.

I get a second menu after choosing Library>Downloaded Music - the choices are Playlists, Artists, Albums, Songs. Choosing one of the sub-groups gives me the same sort as the "all" groups, but a grey bar under the page title that says "Showing only music on this iPhone." It works the same on my iPad, except is says "iPad" instead of "iPhone."

Just updated to iOS 10...phew! The larger than life fonts of the Now Playing screen have put me off not only from the app but from iOS 10.

Rolling back to 9. Font size just does not make sense and is nconsistent with the size in browsing views.

Since iOS 7 the Music app is a mixed bag of great and ugly ideas.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I have a question regarding the new Music app and its use specifically with Apple Music streaming.

Let's say you've selected an album / remix EP or whatever on Apple Music and you only like 3 tracks and "heart" them on the interface.

Does the new app now auto create a list of all "hearted" / liked tracks so you can easily find and stream them again from Apple Music?

But then you see all Playlists where a song is downloaded, also Playlists from Apple Music.
What is still missing is a way to only see the Playlists that were created by your own. like it was in iOS 9.

Sorry its german but you see the difference beetwenn iOS 9 and 10.

That sounds like an isolated issue. I'm showing playlists. Both self-created and Apple Music playlists.

Ah. My bad. Misunderstood your post. I didn't like that at first, but got used to it. If they add the ability to separate them in a list back, I'll be happy. If not, I'll deal with it. It does seem like an unneeded change.
