Design wise I like the new app a lot.
But even on the iPad, the music app still lacks many functions (can't even create smart playlists, star ratings and so on)... it's a shame.

You have never been able to create smart playlists on iOS devices.
It's only possible in iTunes. Hopefully it will be in the future.
I know that. But it would've been the best time to add it with iOS 10. Sucks to have an iPad that's supposed to be a "computer" but you can't even manage your iTunes library with it.
Other iOS stock apps have large text also.
One of the biggest complaints about old player i seen was the smal text.
For example when you had the iPhone mounted in the car it was hard to see the song names.

If you don't have a computer how can you have a iTunes library?
I have hard time to see how apple is going to implement smart playlists in Music app in a user friendly way when there are so many variables.
And remember you can only make smart playlists with music you own or added to your library from AM.
Music you only add to ordinary playlist and not your library are excluded from smart playlists.
But I wish Apple are able to solve it so people who only use iPad or iPhone can use it.
Personally loving the new music app on the whole. One question: many popular artists in my list don't have any artist images when scrolling. Is this a beta issue, does it rely on iTunes, Apple Music artist pages, or something else?
For example, The Fiery Furnaces have an artist image, while much bigger acts like The Delfonics, Cee-Lo Green, and Beyonce have no artist images.

I used the new Apple Music app on two devices: iPhone 5se and iPhone 6s Plus. The front size on the 5se looks pretty good while on the 6s Plus, it's a bit too large.I would take the album name out because it's usually on the album art anyway. It would stop that annoying scrolling for the second line. Song title on the first line and the artist name only on the second line at a slightly larger font than the song title.

In which view don't you have artist image?
If i search for Beyoncé it looks like this.
Correct, I mean in the downloaded music on my phone from my iTunes library. I'm not an Apple Music subscriber.

I hate that there is no "Now Playing" screen that is full size. The new app looks ridiculous on my iPad Pro 12.9. There is just a bunch of wasted space. Sure would be nice to be able to rate songs with something other than Siri, which interrupts the listening.
Hopefully an iOS 10.1 will include a host of new iPad features to optimize the interface!
Still can't share and subscribe to playlists with friends? No similar service to Discover Weekly? Terrible UI? Pass.
Yes you can subscribe to friends playlists but they have to share it first.
Yes Discover Weekly but it's called My New Music Mix and its based on what kind of music you liked.
Actually that's the way it looks on my iPad Air in fullscreen. Not a solution and rather a bug I know. Any idea how to get rid of it?

I think I will go back to iOS 9 because of this app...

- In shuffle mode, the app shuffles to the next track alright but does not start the song from the start

Still no lyrics for me. Weird because they appeared in the previous betas for some songs. Even if some failed to load. Now there's no option to even view them anywhere.
