Hello All,

how does push notification work with msn?

do i have to be sign onto msn for it to work? or could i be sign off?

How does it work?

thank you

You have to set the settings in Beejive to for how long you want it to keep you logged in. Depending on that it will push the notifications to you. Example, if you set the log in time to 12 hours, it will notify you for those 12 hours and after that you have to log in in order to keep receiving it. I just have mines set to 24 hours and basically am logged in forever :p

ok so i restarted my iphone (3GS) and turned notifications off then on and it seems o wor some bugs i have noticed are

1. if your looking at the lockscreen it wont change it to the message and have slide to view

2. if your in sleep mode you wont stay logged into your wifi so the message wont push till you allow your internet to kick in again (provided you dont have 3G enabled)

It works with Edge as well.

BeeJive with Push Now Available!

Anyone using this yet?

I am curious about two things:

1) How well are the notifications? (Fast, slow, buggy, etc.)

2) Can you turn it off somehow? I would hate it if it was "always on" and even when I am on the computer, the phone is going off every two seconds.

Thanks in advance...

Source? Where did it say Push is available now?

***UPDATE*** when looking at the lockscreen it switches to slide to view. must have been a wierd glitch of some sort

Can anyone who uses this answer my one question?

Lets say I set it to log me out after 12 hours.

Is there a way to force a log out early?

What if I don't want my phone going off every two seconds while I am in front of the computer?

Without entering the program no. Although you can join that same account on your computer, forcing it to log off on your iPhone until you log back in.

On Aim you can send an IM to "aol system msg". Send "1" and it will log you out on Beejive.

Does BeeJive support idle for AIM? I'd rather not have the green dot making people think I'm sitting at the computer. I know I can make an away message, but I'm curious about going idle too.

Yeah I'm having the same problem as a few people where I'm just not getting any push notifications. I've tried it for AIM only... made sure my session stayed alive for at least 20 minutes. Also turned off/on notifications, rebooted. Still no good. Do I have to be on an at&t network? I have no sim card installed (since I'm still waiting for an unlock) and my phone's jailbroken.

Any feedback's appreciated... thanks.

Thanks for posting. I did the same thing and it's working! High five!
:D

:) Working pretty good now. Didn't receive a message earlier and one arrived around a minute later on but thats about it! Everything else is great!

I seem to keep getting the error message " Connection failed on Fallback ports" when trying to log into Yahoo.

Has anyone else had this happen?
