The charger is dual 120-240v and can accommodate both. The switch hardware itself is immune, it's merely the charger that deals with the power.

Worse case scenario if you don't want to use a UK 3pin to 2 pin USA adapter, would be to simply pick up a cheaper third party or the official Nintendo charger in the USA.
 
Got my screen protectors delivered today. Went with the 'amFilm' ones which I'd read pretty good reviews on, due to the Orzly episode.

Also bought some jelly grips to provide more comfort when playing in handheld mode.

Screen protector was a total nightmare to put on. I do these all the time in carphone on a Saturday and have no problems as tempered glass is just that much easier.

But with this, the problem was dust and tiny bits of lint getting either stuck to the adhesive side of the glass before I fit it, or on the screen itself causing me to have to keep wiping it or dabbing it off with the adhesive stickers.

Did it eventually though and now I'm pleased with how it looks. Looks way better than the cheap one that came with my official case and feels better too.

The jelly grips are good too, they do provide much better comfort so I imagine cramping will ease if you struggle with it playing handheld.

They give a nice bump to the back of the joy cons which instantly feels better.

The keys feel a little smothered but it's something I could adjust to. Only thing I don't like is how it makes the plus and minus buttons quite hard to press, so I may snip some of the rubber away there to free them out.

All in all, pretty happy. Screen protectors were £9.99 from Amazon for pack of 2 and the rubber gel grips were £7.99 at Argos. Also come in a blue and red set if needed for those interested in U.K. :)

I know, but then I'd have to pay an extra $30 for an AC adapter. I don't trust third party cables. I'd rather just wait.
 
well that was odd. I had to update the switch to connect to the EShop. Which was fine. That was like a while a go. Yesterday I got a SD Card. Switch wanted me to update again., was this normal?

Not sure. I updated mine (turned it on) with the SD card inside straight off the bat and only got 1 update.

The WSJ had an article that a new shipment would be arriving at stores around Mar 22-23, so it would be worth also including other stores in your search.

Don't make the mistake I did...buy a pro controller if you have the chance!
 
Every few days there's a new moment where the Switch shines a new light. Yesterday I was playing Zelda in the media room in my city's library, some guy asked if that was "the new Nintendo?". Half an hour later and his friends are over and we're all playing Snipperclips, Fast, and 1-2-Switch! That's all novelty value but still never had anything like that happen before.

Nintendo are losing out by not having some Virtual Console Mario Kart games on there!

Luckily some Best Buy stores had it in stock so I ordered one for pickup. I don't even have the console yet, lol

Really enjoying the Switch, this is the most gaming I've done since college. Sure, Zelda probably has a lot to do with it, but it's also the form factor, being able to play in bed, and yes even on the toilet, has allowed me to play a lot more than I ever could my PS4.

Yes, I'm disappointed in the power, the battery life, the launch library, the build, and price, but my god it's so convenient, easy, and fun that I can easily over look those flaws. Thumbs up.

Depressing amount of power, I read it's on par with iPad Air 1

still if its excellent first party Nintendo titles, and just a few at that, I think it's worth it..

its not like Mario needs 4k rendering, as all their games are character-cartoon based anyways,

Switch was in stock at Best Buy.com for all of a minute for the grey one

Anyone able to get one at target today?

I've read it's about on par with the PS3 and Xbox 360 in terms of graphical power, and slightly better than the Wii U.

oh really? I read in between WiiU and xbox one, but that is a pretty wide gap I would imagine.

But yeah apparently its been debunked some Nintendotoday article referencing 10x more powerful than 'average iPad'

Yeah, if you look at games like the last of us on PS3, I would say the PS3 is still more powerful than the Wii U, so I guess that falls in between the two.

One advantage the switch has over something like the iPad is the fan keeps the processor cool, so it won't throttle as much. Don't know if that relates at all to the article, but maybe it is 10x more powerful than a throttling iPad?

Naughty Dog isn't real an accurate benchmark though of general system performance, especially TLOU which people still wonder how It ran on ps3 period,

They squeezed the heck out of PS1 with Crash, people speculated they had exclusive APIs to PS,

but they make really great games :D

Uncharted4 on ps4 pro :O
