I decided to "put my money where my mouth is" and bought "Snake Pass" - not my kind of game, but fun. I'm having trouble with the controls - but will get used to it.
Trying to do my part in making the Switch a success.
Just tried the PC Steam version of Redout Demo - not as great as Fast RMX, but my kind of game and will buy the physical copy.
Anyone have Bomberman? Seems kinda expensive for $50...
MK8 seems terrific and the the BOTW I've played has been terrific... but am I the only one feeling less and less enchanted by the Switch? Looking down the road, it seems like the Switch gets one "good" game per month, at *best,* and sure, Zelda is playable for an entire month but... it sort of feels this will be a dust collector soon.
One good game a month is nothing to really be sniffed at, if the quality is there.
I mean, Splatoon 2 looks likely to be a winner, as does Arms the more we see of it. With all of the great indie title that are on the eshop along with sprinklings of third party titles like Lego City Undercover, there's definitely a lot to do and a lot to keep you invested I feel.
I guess it could have more in terms of content, but it's still so young and all consoles have this when they're launched in the first 6 months to year.
I think the pacing feels just about right for my tastes currently.
Yeah I think it's wayyyyy too soon to pass judgment. There are supposedly plenty of unannounced titles too supposedly. Wouldn't doubt it
There's been way more to play than Xbox one. I got it in the spring after it was released in the winter, and there was hardly anything to play but plants vs zombies (splatoon of sorts, timed exclusive release that may have been xbox and pc only for a little), tomb raider definitive edition re-release for the system which was a nice boost from 360 stuff I saw, and battlefield4 (on every platform and supposedly broken out the gate, but by the time I played, patched enough to work and go online)
I'm happy with how the switch is progressing
It actually makes me think it's one of the better launches despite sparse amount of overall titles.
does anyone have interest in Puyo Puyo Tetris?

1 game a month is my gaming dream considering my backlog on other systems.![]()
Tell me about it. My Switch is already getting a backlog and my PS4's backlog has swollen even more since start of the year. Was also part of the reason for me to sell the XB1S.
I've been trying to sell my PS4Pro for a while with no nibbles at all. Tells me the market is really low on it right now and not even sure how successful of a console it has been.
I have learned my lesson to not jump on an "in between" console such as the Pro and wait for the next big step like the Scorpio or PS5.
Personally, im not liking the "PC-fication" of console gaming.

Sorry but the Scorpio is Microsoft's version of the PS4 Pro, so it's definitely another "in-between" console.I've been trying to sell my PS4Pro for a while with no nibbles at all. Tells me the market is really low on it right now and not even sure how successful of a console it has been.

PS3 GPU is around 0.4TFlops, while the PS4 GPU is around 1.8TFlops, leaving a 4.5x difference. The Xbox 360 was around 0.24 TFlops, and the Xbox One is around 1.3TFlops, a 6x markup. The Scorpio is around 6Tflops, or about a 5x markup over the One, so no, based on the GPU (And the CPU numbers are not far from these anyway) the Scorpio is indeed a "real" upgrade over the Xbox One, despite what you have made up in your mind about the console.Sorry but the Scorpio is Microsoft's version of the PS4 Pro, so it's definitely another "in-between" console.
Yeah, on tracks like rainbow road where it's so easy to fall off, it's nice having the ability to always stay on it. That said, there are a few shortcuts you can take by going off-road, so I think I need to learn how to toggle that setting mid game (if that's possible). Do you happen to know where the setting for this is? (hopefully you don't have to come out of the whole game to into the menu settings) The ideal way to do it is if there is just a button you can toggle on and off on-demand whilst you're racing, but not sure if that's how its done. Anyone know if there is a way to do this?Yesterday we had a 4 player at my parents house, so there's myself and then 3 people who have never played console games before. Those new assist features are SO brilliant! I'm loving all the little features they've added in too. I'm sure more will show their face as I progress through.
The Switch, at this point in its life, is probably my fave console ever. Not just the games but the handheld and docked functionality are great.
Exactly. I don't mind that games peak at 720 or 1080p with the Switch, the fact I can play it anywhere means I'm going to prefer buying multiplatform games on that than anywhere else. Recently I started playing The Last Guardian again and was bummed that I couldn't just take it with me on the Vita. That's what binge-playing multiple Switch games for a couple of months will do to ya.btw - I feel like this guy now:

I want to play ALL my games on the Switch - undock and take it with me - Halo, No Man's Sky, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, Ratchet and Clank, etc, etc.
I also feel that if I have to play on the couch only, then I WANT TO PLAY IT IN VR MODE.
(or how about in 3D on a 3DS?)
2D just on a screen at home is sooooo 20th Century...
yeah, I know...
