The Switch is not "hardcore", it is meant to simply be "fun"... :)

(why so many "hardcore" fanboys put it down)

Yeah hardcore is being chained to your tv or pc monitor :) This system sells itself as people are always interested when you play it on the bus or train.
 
Received a review code for SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition. There's a review embargo but if you have any questions for me to consider as I play through, feel free to let me know so I can include that in my coverage!
Game releases 12/28 and if it's anything like Dig 2 in quality, it'll be good.
 
Just saw a new offer for the console at 350€ with Mario and Zelda plus glass screen protector.

What do you guys think? Good offer or better to wait longer?
 
Travelling over the Christmas season with the Switch has really highlighted the advantage of this system.

Nintendo has also crossed 10million sold in ~9 months(which does not include an entire holiday season). Kudos!

We do not.
We do know that classic games will be somehow incorporated into Nintendo's paid online service, launching early 2018. We should hear about it in a Nintendo Direct this month or January.
They've talked about NES games being made compatible with online multiplayer...
 
What games are you all looking forward to on the Switch in 2018?

I'm hoping this rumored upcoming Nintendo Direct will help me answer this for myself, because I can't think of much to anticipate for this year besides the Online service.
 
There's not a whole lot at the moment. There's gotta be a Nintendo Direct this month.

So far, I'm looking forward to Super Meat Boy and Super Meat Boy Forever (never played these, except at events).
Yoshi and Kirby I'll give a try.
Runner3 is another solid indie.

I got an old Lumsing one now bought from amazon for 30pounds 2 years ago - now discontinued but still working perfectly for me with 10400mah -plenty of reviews out there for portable batterie tbh
 
glad DKC Tropical Freeze is coming to Switch. Never had a Wii U, and will be a great train game.

Would buy Dark Souls if I hadn't already 100% it on 360. I wonder how they'll handle suspending the game? The big thing about DS is that you can't really pause it and you can always be invaded when online. If you're suspending your Switch, what happens?

Donkey Kong!! YES!! YES!! YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

This and Super Smash Bros are the ones I've been waiting for!! I REALLY wanted to play Tropical Freeze but never had the Wii U. Was thinking about buying it second hand just for that and Super Smash Bros mainly. Now I get to play it in the Switch handheld wherever I go!!

So so happy!

Now I hope Smash gets released at the end of the year with the online service.

So glad I'm not the only one excited by this news. I say that because this game received a lot of undeserved bad press. It truely is one of (if not the) my all time favorite platform game. I actually just watched some Youtube videos last week analyzing and praising the level designs in DKC Tropical Freeze.

I look forward to completing it 200% again on the Switch, it hurt so good doing it the first time on the Wii U :D It looks like with the addition of Funky Kong it'll make it quite a bit easier (relatively speaking).
