30-minute Nintendo Direct dropping tomorrow, 3/8/18. It will feature 3DS and Switch titles, including Mario Tennis Aces.

Any other predictions?
(Remember—E3 is 3 months away. Big guns will be saved.)

Last E3 they didn't announce anything big, didn't they? I don't remember. I only remember them announcing Mario + Rabbids and doing a Mario Odissey demo. Nothing big.

I bet we will see third party titles tomorrow. Maybe more of Wolfenstein 2, new third party ports, and more of Octopath Traveller.

Really happy for Smash.

Having Donkey Kong and Smash this year is all I wanted.

But now we also get Mario Tennis, Captain Toad, Kirby, Yoshi, Bayonetta, etc.

Another great year for Nintendo.

Really hoping they also port Super Mario 3D World soon.

For those that didn't get the Wii U this is awesome, since with the Switch we get the new titles plus the Wii U best titles also. It's like having two Nintendo consoles in one.

My God... Donkey Kong now and Smash in the fall... What an AWESOME year for me!!

OkamiHD, Donkey Kong, No More Heroes for me.....so far.
(And Luigi's Mansion remake on 3DS)

Hmm...really only Donkey Kong for me this year.

Only own Mario Odyssey and Zelda so far. Rather picky about Nintendo titles...

Tell ya one thing....

I didn't use many of those Gold Coins (had around 300). Now you can use them towards Switch Downloads (and you get coins when you buy).

I just got Sparkle 3 for $1.29 (special price for me since I bought the Sparkle 2?) and just used my coins - no cash. Then I gained more coins for the purchase!

The $2.10 I now have in coins I will use towards Galaxy on Fire, and then I get 90 coins for that purchase!

Sweet!!!

I'm thinking of selling my Switch due to one main reason: the poor build quality in the long run.

My Switch has two main "issues": the joycons wobble or are a bit loose, and the back of the console has some shinny spots due to the mate painting wearing off in just two months (people over the internet say it's because of the body sweat).

I've been doing some research these days and it seems I'm not the only one with these issues. There are many others. On YouTube you can see many people with the loose joycons issue in handheld mode. I've tried their solution, which is to apply some electric tape on the joycons to make them not wobble, and it works, but I don't know if this is a viable solution in the long run.

The main appeal of the Switch is to play handheld. I REALLY don't want to sell it, cause I'm anxiously waiting for Donkey Kong and Smash this year, and playing many other games in handheld is amazing. But I just don't enjoy playing in handheld if I find the build quality poor, or if I'm too worried about issues like the joycons being loose and getting worse over time.

Don't know what to do. I do care about the state of my belongings. I don't want the Switch to look like s*** in a year or having to buy another pair of 70$ joycons just because the original ones have wear down to the point of being too loose in handheld mode.

Smash is meh to me but I’ll grab Donkey Kong for sure :)

Been playing some Chromagun and I also got that old people’s scooter game that came out today. Hmm need to pack myself so I’m not overrun with games. I’ll have to get Splatoon 2 at some point.

I played my DOOM on it the other day in handheld mode and holy moly it’s fast running!!!

Huge bummer. Have you gotten on the phone with Nintendo customer service to see what they can do?

Lucky for you, Nintendo just re-released Splatoon 2 and it comes with a free hundred page guide.

Gotta remember that $300 for an entirely new console platform is quite the deal. At that price there will be build quality issues.

New platforms usually come in at $400 (soon to be $500?).

My Switch is a little bent and there are a few scratches on the back of the unit which is disappointing because i really take care of my new tech.

I expect them to address these issues with the SwitchLite or whatever. When that happens i'll consider upgrading and selling my current one.

It's expensive by Nintendo standards, and particularly for a handheld console.

Assuming you're in the US: Nintendo DS launched at $150. 3DS was $250, but reduced to $170 within 5 months.

If you don't want to class it as a handheld, N64 started at $200, Gamecube was $250, Wii $250, Wii U $300

Well I'm gonna keep it for a month or two and see how it goes. If the electrical tape workaround works good I'll keep the system. I hope it does, since I LOVE the console. Best console ever for me, but this build quality issues are super annoying for someone like me with OCD.

I just want to play that Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze so so badly... And Smash also too, of course.

I know 17 people with Switches - you’re the first to mention any sort of build quality issue - I’d swap it now.

Well it depends on the person. Some people might see something as a build quality issue and others won't worry. Some can see this issues and others just won't bother.
