Not at all, LOL FPS is only around 70, that is around a $100 cheap display card grade. Most of the games cannot even run with M1 pro or max.
That's patently and utterly false. We have dozens of videos and reviews now. The M1 Max is similar to a desktop 6700 XT and that is conclusive, in gaming and compute.

Not sure if you're just trolling but I'm just going to attach this here
Yeah I noticed that when I watched the video. Not the first time it happens. I think they're rushing the videos to be the first.

The M1 Max performance is simply outstanding.

At this point, the only thing that REALLY hurts the M1 Max in gaming is, 99% of the games out there aren't native to Apple Silicon.

Why is everyone insisting on checking games on these machines! They are designed for people creating content as a job. Gaming was never a goal. These machines excel at content creation as they are being helped along with secondary processors taking care of a lot of the heavy lifting.
If gaming is what you're after then get a Windows gaming rig and stop bothering the pros here with your childish passtime!

Again. It’s been posted earlier. The video graph was wrong and backwards. Listen to the words that are coming out of his mouth.

Sadly it's not only gaming. It's also slow within standard apps if multiple are used.
You should specify which multiple standard programs you are referring to. As far as I can see the European Standardisation Organisations (ESOs) and national standardisation bodies (NSBs) are obliged to establish work programmes and make them publicly available.
I don’t think that this process cant be qualified as ”slow”… I just opened the work programmes of all national standardisation bodies listed here, it was actually really quick.

Maybe you should reset your router?

Glad you have never seen a RTX 3090 with ~1000 GByte/s memory bandwith. The M1 Max has only 400 GByte/s for cpu and gpu together. Even if it would be fast as 6700XT the 3090 is worlds ahead. For Pros with workstations it would be much more suitable to buy a 24 GB GDDR6X RTX 3090 for the price of a Macbook Pro with M1 Max.

This is a mobile workstation…

So your point is that an ultra high-end video card outperforms a LAPTOP and that's a reason not to get the laptop... so people who want a laptop should just get a desktop + 3090. Or rather, for the price of the entire laptop (which is what they theoretically want in this situation) - they should instead buy *just* the video card... ok

Lol is 70 fps and read comments, it has hard time even run so some 10 years old games with the playable fps.

M1 Max versus the Vega II Duo workstation graphics card (same chip as the Vega VII).

The M1 Max wins in Metal gaming and Adobe apps.

This shows not only do you tell blatant lies in front of everyone but you also don't know how bandwidth in different memory systems function.

The Apple spec is memory bandwidth between the CPU, GPU and VRAM. In other words, system bandwidth.

The Nvidia spec is memory bandwidth between the GPU and VRAM only. The connection to the CPU is bottlenecked.

Apple's has faster system bandwidth.

KUKitch you would be right if this macbook would only cost around 2000 Euros for M1 Max, 2 tb ssd and 32 gb ram. But it costs nearly 4000 Euros. Who is doing such workstation things mobile, without plug socket nearby on this small screen?

Yes. If people actually LISTEN to the video, you would know the graph was incorrect. I knew it when he was talking and didn't go yelling on forums that RAAAA M1 is BAAAAAD!!!!!!

LISTEN to video as well as WATCH. If things don't line up between words and visuals, check the comments before making assumptions.

I won't fault Max Tech, YouTube is a "rushing game" to get your content out faster than anyone else so you get the views. And when us humans are rushed, we make more mistakes.

That's my plan for it. I'm going to hook it up to a pair of 4k monitors.

Seriously, if it isn't for you, then don't buy it. It's a great laptop for those that need it, want it or use it professionally.

I've never seen one indeed, but I know it's praised all over the web.

So, PCs have that kind of performance in their laptops ?

We tried playing PC games on an M1 Max MacBook Pro — it was a disaster

[...]
It basically comes back to what I said earlier : the only problem with these chips at this point is the games aren't native. One of the only real benchmarks is World of Warcraft.

Other than that, you have to fiddle around with CrossOver or install Windows ARM on Virtual Machines, and both of these are half-assed solutions.
