It does run a similar folder scheme, its just in transgaming>c_drive>Program Files etc.

So there is no User folder: C:\Users\huntn\AppData\Local\Skyrim\Plugins.txt.

Then, not that I am a programmer, there would have to be a way to tell the Ciderized version of the game to look someplace else for this file.

On a side note, failing to make a potion (or snapping a lockpick) still gives you a small amount of XP.

Yep, if my lock picking is close to leveling I purposly snap a few picks to get that level.

You can ask the follower to carry your burdens. Then check his/her inventory. But not all items he/she carries are showed in there. The default equipments are hidden. Console commands are useful to temporally solve some bugs, like followers level problem. Their level is stuck at the first sight when meet you, and do not level up as supposed. Different follower has the individual max level and different favorite skills. You can check the follower health and skills by “getav health” “getav onehanded” and other commands. And use “disable” “enable” to refresh the follower level when he/she is not in the team. Console commands are powerful. But abusing it will ruin the game as well, like add items or even become invincible. I personally found this game is funnier without leveling smith, enchantment and alchemy. Only use steel plate armor/steel swords and get other equipments/potions from loots, chests and merchants at the master difficulty.

Yup, thing is it doesnt even open the launcher, it instantly loads the game. Gonna have to wait till someone figures it out I guess.

Few shots of my recent escapades. NEED MORE DAEDRA HEARTS!

Do you know about the place that respawns the 2-3 hearts every 7 days? I just use that place to get my hearts.

There is a quest from Dawnstar about getting parts of a dagger for a display. The end of that leads you to Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon. That place is the place that spawns them. Believe you have to do the quest line in order for them to spawn.

Yep! Doing the quests as we speak. No whammies no whammies...

Do you mean the game is more fun when not spending the time to craft? The thing I liked the best about crafting in Oblivion was making modified spells, spells that did all sorts of thing. It was called Spell Crafting. My understanding is that this feature does not exist in Skyrim... Even if you don't craft, collecting ore and items is an easy way to raise cash for purchasing items from vendors.

I think he means is more fun not crafting/enchanting/alchemy because if you exploit it itll make you nearly invincible and makes the game less fun...

It is a single player game though. Exploiting it to make you invincible is their own fault then. Sure I could go and do the same thing and make a sick bow but I will not go that far out of my way to do that. So it is really up to the person on if they want to exploit the system or not.

Personally I love games with crafting but keeps crafting as a extra not a requirement.

I agree with that. I personally avoid game mechanics that make a game too easy, so cheese like bullet time and other variations.

So in Skyrim I'm avoiding the Archery skill Steady Hand, but then again I've invested in other skills like Deadly Aim under Sneak.

But eventually, I'm going to max every thing out in Skyrim, just because.

Crafting makes and updates the equipments and enchantment can give you godlike magic items. This make all other magic items found in the game become junks, even the artifacts. And master locked chests become less attractive. Alchemy lets you make the potions and further boost the craft and enchantment skills to create even more powerful items. Eventually, you will not check the loots, the chests and merchants sales. These skills make almost every items become the junks and turn the game incredibly easy and lacks of challenges, even at the master difficulty. No more epic battles and exciting fights. To me, a lot of fun lost.
Personally, daedric armors and weapons are too fancy for me. Wearing it ruins the game atmosphere. I prefer the style of steel ones or even iron in this game. Just enjoy the game.
Another thing about alchemy, harvesting ingredients destroys the beautiful ecological environment. I know they will respawn. But it really takes a long time.

There are still more enchantments to find. So opening the chest you may find an encahntment you didnt have.

Daedric weapons look awesome. I use them and the red/black bow is sweet looking. As do the pair of daggers. But again it is all about how you play the game. Crafting isnt forced on you in Skyrim so it can be avoided altogther.

I think I rushed too much with smithing. Now I'm at full dragon plate armor and daedric weapons (there are no dragon weapons) and it feels too overpowered. Still, the looks of the dragon gear really worth it.

Is there any heavier/better armor that dragon plate in the game ?

Daedric armor has higher armor rate than dragon plate armor.

Indeed. I only compared them with the only piece where dragon armor is superior by a bit (don't recall which one right now). On all the other pieces, daedric is better (and overall of course).

Thanks for the heads up. On my way to craft the full daedric set then.

You guys are going to think I'm crazy but I started a Adventures in Skyrim blog...

I agree with you guys. Yes I cheat, it is an individual standard and it can be overdone. Right now the only thing I'm cheating at is lockpicking, which I previously explained why. There is no skill, imo. :) When I played Oblivion, I just did the auto pick.

I've not gotten very far in Skyrim, but I imagine, there is a list of equipment posted online that can be acquired in a couple of seconds via the consol, but what exactly would be the fun in that? On the other hand I try not to spend huge amounts of time crafting cause this is a game and not a job. ;)

Daedric armor has higher armor rate than dragon plate armor.

Can Daedric armor be found or purchased or must it be crafted?

I have only found a couple daedra daggers on mobs. Haven't found any armor.

LOL Huntn! :D

It's a great game, so I don' think you're crazy. If not for work, I'd still be lost in it.

The 4 Gb patch is out today, but I won't be able to try it until the weekend.

I've read somewhere above that the dungeon (can't recall the name) where 3 guys with daedra hearts are in, will reset every 7 days. Although I spent 7 game-days (using the rest-wait function) it didn't reset. Am I missing something ? Are the dungeons trully reset and how ?
