I'd say either the camera lens is filthy, or it has issues

My S24U takes crystal clear pictures - Fin's just walked in (disappeared all day) and stuck himself in the log basket... Like you do 😂

Just a aim & click picture again at x2.5 zoom

Hmmm those are indeed way better. I was on the latest version. Could someone once try and post a picture of a kid or a pet moving?

Those aren't bad photos. I was wondering if there was an issue with the camera because a lot of the pictures I was taking were blurry. Also, what is the deal with 6.1.1? Is everyone getting it? I thought it would have come out by now.

Six months in with my S24+ and I'm still very happy with this phone.

- Still as fast and fluid as day one. Not a single hiccup or stutter or lag during this time. Wicked fast.

- OneUI might be my favorite "OS" right now, because all the little tricks (like pulling down the notification panel with a gesture, or turning on and off the screen with double tap), the endless customization options (including GoodLock), etc. I can't wait for OneUI 7 with a new fresh look. It's about time. Samsung just gives you ALL the options to adapt the phone to what you like and how you like to use it.

- Battery life still great. Enough for a whole heavy day of work.

- Cameras are fine. I can't tell much difference nowadays between flagships and haven't tried a Pixel 8/9, which most claim has the best camera in a smartphone.

- The bright screen outdoors has come really handy soooooo many times.

- Premium build and quality, although I've got small scuffs on the aluminum frame. This just don't resist like new no matter what you do...

- Only issue might be size, but I got this because I wanted excellent battery life. I'm excited to see if the S25 comes with a 6.3 inch screen and say 4.500mah battery. That would make me change to have a slightly smaller phone but still with good all-day battery life.

- With regards to Galaxy AI, I've used some of the picture tricks, but not much more. Still, I want even better features in the future, and given the 7 years of promised updates plus the flagship hardware, I hope to get even better features in the future.

Overall an excellent phone. I was extremely happy also with my S23+ and only upgraded because of a dent in the frame and my OCD kicking in hard.

One UI is NOT an "OS" its a UX ! ;)

When you start to see crap like the deal with Samsung and Google get overhanded to the point of the ZFlip6 & ZFold6 in the USA ship with Samsung Messages Disabled (of which ALL 2024's improvements to) in replace of Google Messages then you'll understand and never make that mistake again.

All in all Samsung makes incredible phones (HW) that continue to add value long after the honeymoon phase where software continually improves or you get new features or updates in the UI 1-4yrs from new device launch purchase.

FYI - I've heard about the pixel camera but its not the camera - its the software and seriously heavy post editing that wins its praise. I'm not a shutterbug so all the technical details of f-stop, ISO etc I have no clue about. I aim, tap to focus and shoot. If the phone and its camera was a pistol/riffle trust me I'd have a permanent 'Idiot mark' on my forehead lol. That said check out using such features in the Pro section of your Galaxy's camera - especially for night shots!

Some of the pictures I've taking using Pro is incredible!

I don't know why Samsung does this with FE editions always increasing the screen size. How can it be an FE/ Fan Edition of its not even the same phone dimensions.

I'd rather miss team, storage, vape chamber higher primar cpu clock boost larger battery, faster charging wired and wireless and unique colour options!!

To me THAT is a Fan Edition

For whatever reasons, I've always thought of FE's more as heavily marketed leftover inventory bits to be unloaded before the next hardware iteration becomes available.

Also, it seems like Samsung is disappearing previous models faster than before.

I have a question regarding daily activity and the Galaxy Watch. Am I supposed to be having sounds when I reach a target each day and a vibration? I know with the Apple Watch it was very theatrical and I could hear the sound but I can't hear it on the Galaxy watch. Is there a setting I'm missing for this or did Samsung just regress from the last time I had a galaxy watch?

Well that's mine factory reset, boxed and up ready to be sold on eBay UK when the 80% selling fees offer comes live

Superb phone; but as I've gone for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, I don't need the S24U alongside

Paired the PF with my Watch Ultra yesterday and it's spot on, works as it should etc

Be interesting what you get for your S24 ultra.

Got my iphone 15 pro max in auction at moment with 3 days left and it's on £740

Well I'll be asking £900 (have it on here and Gumtree currently); popped it on eBay too as collection only for now. As soon as they get the 80% selling offer up, I'll re-list it and inc. delivery etc

I think the brightness is a little lower with no samsung phone dues to the software being a bit different, I have a 5 pro paired with my 8a and its pretty dim, trying to fix.

Well, the S23FE is pretty terrible, I don't think the S24FE will be much better since the formula is cheaper used parts so expect the same thing mostly.
