Then it seems like they can stand behind that and take on the burden that comes from that rather than having someone else take it on (the consumers) while in the process actually even benefiting from it. Or at least not try to make it look like they are somehow almost going out of their way to work hard on doing something great.You can argue about the magnitude of the environmental impact of Apple's decision or their motivation, but the example of a company like Apple reducing e-waste and increasing opportunities for recycling is a push in the right direction.
