I wonder how much is the deductible for the iPhone X? Also if I lose the iPhone X and file a claim to get a another one, does my installment payments start over or pick up from the lost iPhone?
Deductible is still $200. And it doesn't have any effect on your installments if you file a claim.

TBH I originally wanted to preorder from Apple because I heard it was easier. But I am so glad I went through Verizon instead. Question, I plan on running errands Friday (the day its delivered). I'm legally blind so I usually get my phone in store so that they can help me set up accessibility stuff and this is my first time preordering. So I plan on going to Verizon as well as Apple on Friday. Verizon for activation of my X and deactivation of my 7 plus. And Apple for accessories as well as Apple Care. But if I could cut those 2 trips down into 1 that'd be great.
Could either 1. I be able to activate my new phone and deactivate my old one from home? If so how?
Or, 2. If because I already have to go to Apple could they activate my new phone and deactivate my old one? Even though I got it through Verizon.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Verizon has always worked better for me than through Apple. Connects to your account info much quicker and usually preorders are up right away. For your questions, you can just ship your old phone back to Verizon, they usually send a box with your new phone for the return. You also don't need to go to the store to activate, you can do it through a phone call.

I’m still showing pending on my app. I’m frustrated being my brother on the same account that ordered 2 minutes before me has shipping info already and he got the space grey 256! Most popular option. I got silver 256! Fingers crossed for movement today

No need to get frustrated- it will process today or tomorrow if you have a 11/3 delivery date it can be as late at 11/2. Mine shipped on Sunday but really it’s being held at the hub

Mine has listed as shipped and is in Memphis for 11/3. Email Confirm came 3:06am EST. What is funny I logged into Verizon Account and looked at my orders and it was listed as Processing, but I looked at the order status through the email it was listed as shipped with a Tracking Number.

Things are moving much faster this year than it has in the past. They have an enormous number of phones to process and I highly doubt it's just based on order time (there's memory, color, number of phones ordered, location). People really shouldn't start stressing until Wednesday or Thursday. In the end, calling just bogs down Verizon and has someone messing around in your account and with your order when they don't need to be yet.

Agreed every year there is one person on MR or SU who calls for status because they get impatient and something gets messed on their order - don’t be that one this year

While I know it’s hard just keep checking your bank around 3 pm - 9pm. Verizon will take your money soon guaranteed

This!!!!!

I have a good friend that works for Verizon corporate (operations manager) in a Tampa, FL. I just finished geeking out over the phone with her about the new iPhone X. She stated that there are mass pre-order queues that they are going through in batches. The location of their distributors and warehouses in conjunction with the order location (delivery address) and order time are the main factors in regards to who gets shipped the fastest vs who doesn’t.

Since I live in east FL, which is 140+ miles away from their 35,000+ square feet storage and distribution center, I essentially am at the “bottom” of the queue for the 11/03 deliveries. My credit card will be charged sometime today if not tomorrow and my phone will be shipped out sometime tomorrow if not Wednesday.

I’m not sweating it anymore :). I’d rather have my phone sent directly from the distribution center that is less than 2.1 hours away than it being sent overseas from China. It’s already here in the states, so I don’t have to worry about the potential risk of it being damaged or lost en-route from overseas. That’s simply my two cents.

I’m lucky I am not my friend either. She currently has her iPhone X in possession I type. She unfortunately cannot open the box, nor can she activate it as well. I’d rather not be in that position, hahaha!

Hmm weird I am in FL on the East coast and my Tracking has it in Memphis. oh well doesn't matter much. I'm sure all of those who got a 11/3 delivery on their order will get it.

Funny.

Order is shipped, currently in Elizabeth, NJ.

However has the following message "Per shipper instructions, package will not be delivered until the scheduled delivery date".

Guess I will not get my phone until Friday 3 November. oh well. Lol

Don’t forget you can cancel AppleCare at any point and get a refund for the unused portion. As long as you never had a claim. Only downside is that they don’t cover lost phones. AppleCare will also send a remanufactured or new phone if you have damage. You just need to call and ask for an advanced replacement.
That loss or theft is a biggie tho. You can plan to protect your phone against damage, but you can't plan to lose or have your phone stolen. AppleCare would be worthless in those situations, and you'd be out over a grand plus the $200 for the AppleCare. Verizon's insurance would be extremely valuable in those circumstances.

Indeed! Your order number must be in conjunction with a “batch” that has been or already is fully processed, nice! Did you use the website or app...I am curious!

Dam Apple and Verizon are making millions if not billions off us for the iPhone X! I wished I was a stockholder.

I learned that the hard way on the preorder night. I have been using Apple app with success until that night. Such a disappointment for the Apple app. I hope this issue will not happen in the future.

So what has everyone got for cases I ordered the navy blue silicone cases from Apple
$10 glass screen protector and $10 clear case from Amazon, same for every iPhone I've purchased and has always protected it while showing it's beauty. (I do usually crack the screen protectors from drops at least once over the life of the phone.)

Yes I neglected to mention that Apple Care does add up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $29 for screen damage, or $99 for any other damage, plus applicable tax. Please don't say "BS". I was the spreader of "misinformation" not "BS". "BS" sounds like an attack while "misinformation" sounds better.
I think by BS, he meant that the AppleCare included with your phone for the first year doesn't cover any of those things. It only covers defects. You have to buy AppleCare + to get accidental coverage covered for two years. You have no coverage against accidents without paying the extra for AppleCare+.

Actually, its not my experience at all. Every year I have pre-ordered, I get charged by Sunday. For me this is the longest I have waited. We all share the information to try to detect any trends etc. I do agree that calling is not the right thing to do at all as it might put you in the back of the line.

Got my tracking number from Verizon today for my Silver 64. Currently in TN and says it will not be delivered until 11/3 per shipper.

I just thought I would let know whoever might be interested. If you aren't seeing the option to pick up your package in your Fedex account, you can call them and tell them you'd like to pick it up Friday and they are able to make that accommodation for you, it will not change the day you will receive the phone. I was able to successfully do this today just by calling and asking. They were super helpful and happy to make the change for me. Hope this helps

Card charged yesterday and just got my fed ex tracking for 256 Space Gray X and I'm off Friday so now I can just relax on that and worry about my Astros winning the WS!!!
