Can you do the indirect Sig and have them leave it at a door or somewhere. The form you sign let’s you pick a place to leave it or even drop it off with a neighbor?

866-338-7390 is the CORE Department, once I had my tracking number, they handled my shipping address change no problem!

So I got a buddy that works at the FedEx hub here in town. He was able to put a note in the system that ill pick up the X Friday morning at 9am. He also told me that the possibly of your phone being delivered early is almost impossible. They (at least their hub) has strict policies about sending out packages with hold dates, and they usually put packages like this on lock down until that delivery date.

Wonder if the delay is with people who ordered two phones. I’m in the exact same situation and ordered 2 silver 256’s as well.

Anyone order 2 and get charged/ received shipping?

Yeah, I ordered 3 on the same order for each line in my family. All 256 SG. Hmm...

I'd be willing to go out on a limb here and say that if you phone hasn''t been shipped yet, you're probably very close to the distribution center your phone is coming from and that the distro centers are prioritizing the further shipments first so they can get to their delivery locations on-time.

Edit: just be patient. You'll get your devices!

Now I'm confused...I called Verizon CORE department yesterday to get my address changed and was told that no delay would happen because of it....then this morning I called FedEx to make sure they got the shipping change notification, to where the person on the phone there says that they "ship it to the original destination city facility, then it gets re-routed to my house", which is going to cause at least a 2-3 day delay. So I called Verizon CORE back, and they said "That doesn't make any sense, we can control from our facility where it's being shipped to, it's going to your house as of right now and will be there Friday"....Of course this all has to happen when I'm going to be out of town starting next Monday

I'm in the same boat. No charge or shipping since initial "text" charge from Verizon.

It really doesn't seem like many who had made a 256GB order through Verizon have been charged or moved from processing. My guess is they're slowly making their way through the queue the 256's are last since they still have plenty of time to ship before Friday. Patience.

I ordered three phones, starting around 1:56 a.m. (CST) via the Verizon app.

My mom's iPhone X 64 gig silver 'shipped' yesterday.

My iPhone X 256 gig silver 'shipped' last night.

My husband's iPhone X 64 gig silver is still 'processing.'

Obviously, I ordered my own phone first. I ordered my mom's second. And I ordered my husband's last. (Don't tell him that. And let's not tell either of them that I ordered them the 64 gig model while splurging on myself for the higher capacity.)

EDIT: And for what it's worth, all three were 'new device agreement' orders. We'd previously paid off our other phones.

Here is a true story: Back when iPhone 6sPlus was the latest iPhone, my coworker purchased one through her carrier and did not buy Apple Care. After a few months the phone started having volume problems and headphone jack problems. She took it back to the carrier and they replaced it. Guess what? The replacement started giving her the same problems. I told her to take the drive to the nearest Apple store (100 miles away for us) and let the Genius Bar figure it out. After the Genius Bar told her they couldn't figure out the problem, they gave her a new phone, not a refurbished one. She never had a problem since.

The first year is covered by Apple regardless of where you purchased the phone. You don't need Apple care the first year. So if you plan to upgrade next year, buying Apple Care is not needed.

Unless you drop it, break it, wait gets water damage etc... stop spreading bs

Yes I neglected to mention that Apple Care + does add up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $29 for screen damage, or $99 for any other damage, plus applicable tax. Please don't say "BS". I was the spreader of "misinformation" not "BS". "BS" sounds like an attack while "misinformation" sounds better.

64GB Space Gray has been charged and shipped. 64GB Silver is still processing, charged, waiting for shipping. Still showing 11/3. My Space Gray was sitting in West Chester, PA ready to go.

Now that it’s Monday, they have more people working on the orders so things should start picking up more and more.

Yes I believe this because I called FedEx and tried to get an early delivery. LOL. They said no way and suggested I call Verizon and asked Verizon to authorize an early shipment. At least Verizon did make sure I would have my phone on launch day without me having to go the Verizon store. It sounds like Verizon sorta respected my $1247 I'm spending with them.

This!!!!!

I have a good friend that works for Verizon corporate (operations manager) in a Tampa, FL. I just finished geeking out over the phone with her about the new iPhone X. She stated that there are mass pre-order queues that they are going through in batches. The location of their distributors and warehouses in conjunction with the order location (delivery address) and order time are the main factors in regards to who gets shipped the fastest vs who doesn’t.

Since I live in east FL, which is 140+ miles away from their 35,000+ square feet storage and distribution center, I essentially am at the “bottom” of the queue for the 11/03 deliveries. My credit card will be charged sometime today if not tomorrow and my phone will be shipped out sometime tomorrow if not Wednesday.

I’m not sweating it anymore :). I’d rather have my phone sent directly from the distribution center that is less than 2.1 hours away than it being sent overseas from China. It’s already here in the states, so I don’t have to worry about the potential risk of it being damaged or lost en-route from overseas. That’s simply my two cents.

I’m lucky I am not my friend either. She currently has her iPhone X in possession I type. She unfortunately cannot open the box, nor can she activate it as well. I’d rather not be in that position, hahaha!

****Edit/update: Some orders, depending on the batch # and pre order number will go out faster than others, regardless of location it seems. Most phones in the south / south east are coming from Memphis, TN where the main FedEx distribution center is located. I believe that (I’ll follow up with my friend and update here) Verizon has either shipped their phones directly to the distribution center in TN and/or is holding some for the next batch that will be processed. Either way, it appears that they are sending their phones directly to TN to be redistributed rather than keep “x” amount in state for FL and east coast residents. Makes sense from a logistics standpoint. Anyways, it is Monday and we still have a ways to go. For those (like me) who are in “processing”, keep an eye out today or tomorrow for your charge.****
