Correct. They lease the trucks from FedEx and are responsible for the maintaince and repairs while On the other hand UPS provides their employees trucks.

Thanks. I actually did an online chat with Verizon and they were able to set up delivery to the closest FedEx store and I’ll be able to pick it up from the store after work!
I think I'm going to try and walk in to my local Verizon store and buy one on Friday. I feel like people always sleep on carrier stores when these phones release. Verizon rep said they would definitely have walk-in stock but he wasn't sure how much (couldn't say the exact amount if he did know!).
He said to get there an hour before opening but I may come earlier than that. This Verizon store is three blocks away from an Apple Store and I feel like people will head to Apple instinctively and forget about Verizon.

I did an online chat with Verizon and what they did was change the shipping address to my closest FedEx store. So it will be delivered to that store and I can pick it up after work. They also guaranteed me that it would be available on Friday.
I love their silicone cases. Used them for last two phones. Good mix of grippy but still able to go into pockets easily.
I do have one on pre-order but I've learned the hard way how easy those are to cancel. I could totally just cancel that order as I'm on line at the store.

Five minutes ago. Although I would say it depends on how many people your Apple store services.
Not sure for you but the Verizon rep told me an hour before opening. I'm probably going to show up two hours before opening.
I'm going to check and see if anyone is lined up at night tomorrow though. I don't imagine they're getting more than 10-20 units.
EDIT: If you're asking about the Apple store, probably should line up tonight lmao.
Drive by the night before and see if people are lining up. If I were you, I'd be out there 4 or 5 hours before opening playing on my Switch to pass the time.
If that is the case then I wouldn’t think it will be available for pickup on Friday until Fed Ex can deliver it to the store. If you can set up for pickup at a Fed Ex hub then it should be ready for pickup as soon as they open in the morning. I believe the other person was able to set for for pickup at a hub.
