Makes complete sense. These phones are likely in sealed off shipping containers, with tons of them being shipped to specific areas of the country, and they can’t just open it up and find your iPhone when there’s thousands in one of those containers, it would add so much time and effort and could cause other orders not to be delivered on time.

Mine left Elizabethtown, PA at about midnight CDT, and made it to Memphis. My tracker still shows by 3PM, I assume it will update shortly as it flys from Memphis to Mobile.
 
Mine finally got to Mobile, AL from Memphis about an hour ago, from there it will be on the truck for delivery in Penascola. Woot!

I’m getting worried.. I’ve seen no movement since 4:30 am yesterday.. it’s still sitting in Memphis for whatever reason.. :( anyone else having this problem?
 
I just ordered for in-store pickup for today. I'll cancel my online order when I get back from the VZW store. :)
 
Quick update since D-day is here.

Order X, SG, 256 GB @ 2:50 am EST on the 27th, was charged on the 28th, and got tracking number on the 29th.
@ 4:06 pm yesterday it left TN, at 6:40 pm it arrived in Tampa, and as of 10:20 pm yesterday it is at my local FedEx facility.

Just waiting for it to say out for delivery! :) My FedEx guy usually gets here early. Hope that stays true today.

In the same boat waiting for the status to change. It just updated as “At Local FedEd Facility” at 7:19a ET. My driver last time came around 10a on the dot, so hoping that happens today

Mine just updated again at 7:23 am as well. Still says "At local FedEx facility"

At least yours has left Memphis lol. Im seeing everyone here saying theirs is at their local fedex facility and it’s making me worried I won’t get mine today :(
