You state that chat is worthless. Do you suggest that I call Verizon instead for updates on my order status?

Not sure if they will be more helpful, but chat just looked at the est date and told me that 12/13 was it, despite me being charged, my order saying "completed" and one of the phones actually having a 12/6 est date.

I completely agree with you. I tried chatting with a rep twice and it was a waste of time. The second attempt was right before I received my shipping email. She stated my device would ship on Dec 15th (online stated Dec 13th). 20 minuets later I got my shipping email with the tracking number.

UPDATE - My order is shipped and will be delivered 11/29!
UGH!!!!! Woke up this morning to an alert from UPS that "Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed. Delivery will be rescheduled". It made it to Indianapolis, about 2 1/2 hours away yesterday afternoon. I'm hoping that's not shipper language for "we lost it". Of course, I arranged my whole week around being at home all day today for delivery once they gave me the date. You can't actually talk to a person at UPS to get any further information.

Also, of course, the toys I've ordered for Christmas gifts that are coming UPS seem to be right on track.

That sucks but this is the holiday season. We can expect some delays.

You're competing with Cyber Monday shipments this week and happen to have same delivery day as all those Monday orders. Most likely there wasn't enough time to load or unload a certain truck, or that the next truck it was to go on was full. They handle holiday shipping pretty well all things considered, but delays are bound to happen due to the massive influx of packages this time every year. Amazon alone shipped 64 million packages on Cyber Monday last year (don't know this years number yet). That's a massive one day spike. The three major carriers get two days to delivery all of that, along with all their other shipments. I know how you feel though. Unfortunately these things seem to happen at most inopportune times. Off all the packages you receive in a year, this is the one that gets delayed! UGH is right!

Update: I was charged after 10pm last night. The current status of my order is "Shipped."

I ordered the Silver 256GB on 11/10. Original ship date was 12/6. New delivery date is 12/1.

I ordered my iPhone X (SG 256) on 11/22, noticed that the order was in process early this morning (11/29) and just checked again before I headed out for the day and it’s already been shipped out with the arrival date of 12/1.Apple has definitely ramped up their production so hopefully you guys get yours soon as well!

I just wish they would give better information beyond just that it will be rescheduled. If they miss their delivery date, they should have some idea of when delivery will be. Since it needs to be signed for, it would be helpful to know what day I need to make sure I'm glued to my house.

Yea it is quite frustrating. I've currently got a package shipped 2 day for delivery yesterday that has been rescheduled twice and currently has no ETA. One of the delays is a "mechanical failure". I receive UPS every day at work and have received that notification enough times to conclude that it really means someone screwed up. Hopefully its sorted out quickly and you get an update and delivery for tomorrow.

My phone came yesterday. I did get it through Apple Iup but I have Verizon. I turned it on put my Apple ID and phone number in and bam it connected to Verizon that fast. I didn't have to call Verizon at all! I am amazed! Never have I had a phone activate so seamlessly. This phone is totally incredible too

In the last two hours, my phone traveled 880 miles from Memphis to the largest city in my state. (Planes really are pretty incredible things.)

Then tonight, my phone will drive 80 miles north to my city where I will pick it up tomorrow morning at my local FedEx location. (I had Verizon arrange that in case the FedEx guy tried to deliver when I wasn't at home).

(Side note: It seems all orders being shipped via FedEx are coming out of Memphis. This makes sense since FedEx is headquartered in Memphis and their largest hub (called the FedEx World Super Hub) is based at Memphis International Airport)

I figured they’d come from Memphis. I know UPS labels them for delivery in China and flies them already labeled with tracking into their US world hub. FedEx must fly them in bulk and label them for shipment state side.

I would like to know what determines what carrier you get (UPS or FedEx) when ordering through Verizon. Last time I ordered a phone was the iPhone 6 Plus back in 2014 and I had UPS that time. My order took a very long time while people who got FedEx got theirs quick. Now 3 years later, little seems to have changed.

My 6+ also came UPS. Back in the good old days when you could log into Verizon’s iconic system and find early updates and tracking info. That made this process a little more fun.

Pretty crazy how u guys pre-ordered way ahead of time.
I was able to pickup a 256 gb iPhone x this past Sunday at Target here in Hollywood,CA. I guess apple released a bunch of iPhone x this past weekend to Bunch of stores.

My wife placed her order on bestbuy on Thanksgiving. 2 days later it said it shipped & she has her phone now. Granted her order said shipping December 13.

My phone should be Out for Delivery for today, last scan was yesterday in Houston, 6 hrs away from me, and now it says, “Due to operating conditions your package may be delayed. / Delivery will be rescheduled.”

Thanks UPS....
