A quick question, just to confirm. So I used a different lines upgrade on my account; when the phone arrives I can just swap my SIM in and activate correct?
Its possible you may need to activate it with the original sim, and then switch yours over.
Alright, that should be fun. Activate the 8+ on the ordered number, swap it to my number and then swap my 6S Plus to the ordered number. Let's hope it works. At least it seems like Verizon is pretty easy with SIM cards, don't even need to swap em since they can just register it to the different number.
I've been charged by VZ for the activation fee and taxes for my 8+ gold! Also order says
- Your order has been sent to warehouse for shipment.and expected ship date of today. Woo hoo!

I'm doing the exact same thing. CS says activate and than just swap SIM cards. Easy as that
Have a 9/22 date, card at first declined the charge 
had to call verizon and deal with quite a lot of wait time to fix it, thankfully got it fixed. Everybody else get the "your order has been processed but has not been assigned tracking yet" email?

On vzw.com I have lines eligible for upgrades and it shows upgrade pricing of $249.99 and $349.99 for the 8 Plus.
In the past on Apple.com, I have always been able to utilize this upgrade pricing on eligible lines by entering my Verizon phone number and account PIN. I'm not seeing that option this year. Can anyone help? I've had poor experiences with the vzw.com website during launches and would just assume use the Apple Store app. Can anyone help?

I'd call them. I've had major struggles using both Apple and the Verizon website, but the customer service has been nothing but extremely quick and helpful and willing to help you to make things work. Maybe call them like 5 minutes before preorders start on the x, just talk to them about their day so you get a rep before orders start
