I used 2 different links to check my status; one said delivery by 22nd and one said expected ship date 22nd. The former is correct; it’s been shipped and will arrive Friday. I remember from past years that the one link always said “expected ship date” when it was actually the delivery date. I’m sure you’ll get it Friday. :)

Nice. I'm anticipating it but the suspense waiting for a shipping notification is driving me insane!
 
Ordered a 8+ 256gb and 8 64gb on Sunday. When I check "My Orders" I get the error "We are experiencing system issues, please try again later." And when I follow Check on my order link from the confirmation email I get an internal server error. I did call and she said that she can see my order but no info on ship date. Guess I'm looking at the 29th.
 
Got a shipping confirmation this morning! They def did not add my company's suite number so I expect a delay. Verizon did put in a ticket but I guess I should have called sooner :(. Maybe I'll get lucky and all will turn out fine. Always something with these preorders! In other news I'm more excited! I got a couple cases today and think the Plus will be okay for me (coming from a 7)!!

That is what I entered (I am positive of it) during the Apple Store App's pre-approval process.

The picture below is the confirmation I received following my order.

1. Did I not get an unlocked, sim-free phone?

2. Is that even possible with VZW? OR am i trying to do something that isn't even allowed.

3. I bought my phone through Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program - for what reason would I have to pay VZW a $30 upgrade fee? My intent was for my contract to not be touched as all of my phones have fallen out of contract and I believe my bill is as cheap as it'll ever get.

The screen shot you posted seems like you ordered the Verizon one and not the sim-free. But it's okay sim-free model is essentially the Verizon model and is still unlocked.
 
I got a second shipping email from VZ for some reason. At first I thought I accidentally ordered two, but it looks like a glitch.
 
I put in for 4 hours vacation time Friday from 12-4. FedEx dropped off the case I ordered for the iPhone 8 which by the the way fits perfect on my 6s at 12:15. So should have time to load my iCloud backup and play around before the wife goes to work and kid duty begins.:D
 
My order just updated and now is marked as shipped, tho it is listed as "shipped on 9/21" as an overnight shipment lol

I called VZ this evening as well about the email confirmation only showing the 4G SIM. He did some checking and told me that my phone is definitely included on that shipment. Is so weird that in the past 3 pre-orders I have been a part of, the confirmation emails all list the SIM card AND the device so I don't know why this email just listed the SIM. I mean, obviously the SIM is already IN the phone.. lol

How long did it take you guys to process your order?
trying to order this phone has been such a pain. I thought I finally got everything done, but the representative that helped me inputted the incorrect email and I don't think I can change it. Fingers crossed that the mailing address is correct.

You mean to get a confirmation email or for it to process before shipping? Mine is still processing after ordering over the phone Friday afternoon. My confirmation email came instantly.

What delivery date did you initially have? Mine is 9/29, but I noticed they charged my card today too. Kind of hoping that means they moved my order up to 9/22.

Answer #2 haha. Thanks for the info!
I didn't do this process with my old 6 and it made me realize how much I hate preordering
