Carrier The Verizon iPhone X Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

Well as a lot will be getting our new devices tomorrow after today I can unwatch the thread. Hope everyone enjoys their new iPhones and will see everyone around the forum.

Just a psa if it hasn’t been mentioned before, if you’re worried you won’t be home just write a note like this and secure it to your door:

Have done it tons of times with USPS/UPS/Fedex. Never a fail

Unfortunately the one time I tried this it didn't work :(

Really depends on the driver.

With that said i don't want anyone leaving my iphone at the front door.

Ive had stuff taken before.
 
Heads up to those that traded in a device for the $650 promo... I called V with the intention to cancel because they were going to drop the promo if I upgraded. They escalated my concern and gave me the remainder promo as a large credit. Might be worth checking into if you are in the same boat.

Ours just delivers to the leasing office. A 400 unit complex is far too big for drivers to be going door to door apparently.

Looking forward to the 8 Plus tomorrow!

Interesting, how hard was it to work that deal out?
 
All is good here. They billed my CC and i got a tracking number. Strange thing is they sent text to my wife's cell and not me. And wife doesn't tell me about strange text until bed time!!! bad wife!

I just got an automated phone call on our Land line that FedEx will be delivering a package tomorrow up till 8pm and a Signature will be required, they did state you could leave a written message on the door with instruction or contact your local FedEx office. I thought it was strange at first that they called my land line but then remembered I have been signed up with FedEx for years and I probably did have the land line listed and not my cell.
 
It makes me nervous how they're holding it in Tennessee and them I'm guessing overnighting it to me in Kansas. I don't know why they wouldn't send them to closer warehouses to make it easier? Unless this is somehow easier.

My iPhone hasn’t moved since Tuesday, i hope I still get it tomorrow and it’s not delayed. I’m in Oregon and my phones currently in NJ.

Mine departed New Jersey this morning. Was being held in a warehouse in New Jersey but in a different city. They didn't show them moving but they did. Maybe yours is moving its just not telling you?

My tracking updated this morning to tell me it's still in Tennessee and then a little later said "information sent to FedEx" but that's it.

It happens every year; they sit for a few days in Memphis or NJ until what seems like the eleventh hour. From a customer perspective you’d think it would be easier to send them to their final FedEx facility for holding until delivery, but they don’t and I suppose there’s a method to their madness.

That's odd, on another pre-order they did send it to a local FedEx facility and hold it there. This is the first I've ever dealt with it like this.

Haha then maybe whether they do that or not depends on your local facility?! I just know it always happens with mine. I obsessively track it the day before and always think it’s going to be late, lol.

I’m in KS too. Mines in NJ right now. I remember my first preorder, my phone sat in NJ for about 5 Days. Left NJ Thursday night. Went to Memphis and then to KS. All in less than 24 HRs. They are good at this logistics thing.
