ahh ok, i also called CS and they said it’s a promo and it will be there for the iPhone 10 pre-orders.
This weekend, it begins folks. Ordering via Verizon like I always do. Praying for my fellow carrier/Apple reps b/c the next few weeks are gonna be iHell
I saw the same thing and couldn’t immediately find anything about it.
I called Verizon and spoke to a rep and inquired about what it was. He didn’t know, however, he was taking peoples contact info on a pre-order list. This is a list of people he’s going to be calling at 12am pacific to take pre-orders. I managed to be his first call, but I’m not sure if this something Verizon is sponsoring, or if he’s trying to make some extra cash by selling a bunch of phones.
He was very confident that he’d be calling the people on his list. I’m not very confident, so I’ll be calling in a few minutes ahead of time until he calls.
Had a buddy try the same thing and the rep had no idea what he was talking about.

I’m a new customer via BYOD. I did it over the phone, and my Verizon salesperson did the same thing. He stated that they’re able to add phones to cart, took my number, and said he would text me an hour before orders launch and those who would respond in order will be put in a queue. What happens is that once he reaches your queue, he’ll call and check out the device for you.
Still not sure if I want to do it through Apple Stote App, Verizon App, or through him...
To get a free sim, you have to go to a Verizon Corporate store and not an Authorized retailer.
about to sign up for a month to month Verizon line just to order Apple IUP. when placing the order on 27th, do i need to use the phone with the Verizon sim card in it? or an account number, last 4 of my social and PIN would do? i'm still planning on using my currently number with T Mobile, so that'll be the phone i'dl be using when placing the order.
I am staying up until midnight (Thankfully I live on the Coast) and preordering. A Verizon Rep told me that in store pickup would be available as an option when preordering. So, hopefully one of those phones will be available for in-store pickup on launch day in one of my local stores. But either way, preordering and super excited! Just would prefer to be able to pickup in store on launch day as I know sometimes preordered phones get backordered.

I have a question. Has anyone ever switched carriers during the pre-order? I have AT&T but it looks like verizon has a slightly cheaper plan of 5G a month for $40 but you get $5 off if you sign up for auto-pay. That seems better than what I'm paying now for 3GB. My only problem is I'm on the AT&T next plan. I've made the minimum 12 payments to upgrade a new phone but was wondering how switching would work. I know I'd have to give the phone back to them but was curious of anyone had gone through this process before?
I bought an iPhone 7 last year on a deal that requries me to stay on verizon for 2 years. I want to go ahead and buy an iPhone X full price and don't mind continuing to pay for the 7. What's the easiest way to get a fully priced iPhone X with no payment plan?
Like previous comment, i called VZW and the rep also told me that she will call me at 2:40AM EST on 10/27. She gave wrong information though so not sure how i can trust the reps.

Yes. In fact you have to do it through Verizon app or website. I’m in the same boat.
It seems to me that you can only upgrade your line through the MyVerzion app. Are you able to upgrade another line on your account through the app?
I'm in this exact same boat, buddy upgrade and all, anyone have any experience with this?
You can only use those options with Apple, if you do not currently have a phone on a payment plan with Verizon.

It's better if you order separately. Order more than one and having different models will hold one phone back until the other is available to ship.
I understand that. It's a backup method if their website is slow and has worked well in the past for me.

I don't see how you can order separately on Verizon's website if you are upgrading two phones on the same account. The account shares a single shopping cart. Maybe two people can each add a phone to the cart, and then one does the checkout process, but I would be worried about making sure the cart stays in sync and how long the changes take to propagate between the computers. Someone should try it and let us know.
