On apple.com, if you go to iPhone X choose Verizon and choose "Pay In Full", it doesn't ask you for your account details. Will this change on release day?
Correction: it only works on Tmobile (just tested with iPhone 8). Tmobile doesn't prompt you to enter account info. I'm guessing it works, but it also is not CDMA compatible.I have the exact same question. I plan on paying in full and would love to avoid going through all the account info if I do not need to.
Correct. T-Mobile phone only works for T-Mobile and AT&T in US hence it is not a universal phone.Correction: it only works on Tmobile (just tested with iPhone 8). Tmobile doesn't prompt you to enter account info. I'm guessing it works, but it also is not CDMA compatible.

For a midnight pre-order isn't the website a better option because you can get to the iPhone X selection screen and then just keep on hitting refresh/F5 until the option to move forward with the purchase goes live. On the MyVerizon app, don't you have to keep opening the app, navigating through a few steps to the Iphone X and then closing it out and starting again until go-live? Isn't the website refresh quicker?
Might be right. I think I’ll have both ready to go. I’ll use the website to refresh and see when it comes online then switch to the app to do the process.
Do they both go live at the same time though?
Oh. After that it just has me save it as a favorite. Now all I have to do is hit continue on pre order night and it’ll be done

Will it work with other GSM carriers abroad?Correct. T-Mobile phone only works for T-Mobile and AT&T in US hence it is not a universal phone.
From the looks of it, if you’re on an installment plan you have to go through the Verizon app. If you have the IUP then you’re fine to go through Apple. But from what I see as well as a couple other members here have found out, if you’re doing carrier financing, you’ll have to go through the carriers site or app.
I’d recommend making sure you have the My Verizon app downloaded and a card saved on file.
Hope this helps answer your question.
Thanks for the info! The only thing I’ve now realized though is that you can indeed choose Verizon upgrade program for the iPhone 8 on the Apple Store website...that + in-Store pickup could be the quickest way to check out... can someone tell me differently on this, or is this the best way?

I have a question. I will be preordering the iPhone X but I need advice on how to do so. I am going to be adding a new plan with this phone. To preorder as quickly as possible, should I call Verizon, add a new line via Verizon's website, or add the new line with the iPhone X on Apple's website?
Huh?Call Verizon in advance like a day or 2 earlier then the per-order and make any plan changes then.
I called to do just that but rep told me i could only make the payment when I upgradeI believe you can pay the $36.00 early if you want. That's what I did to avoid any issues with to preorder.
What I meant is that you should make a changes your plans like adding a line or going to a new plan before pre-orders open because if you wait till pre-orders open your order may fall behind.Huh?
