My Watch 3 experience through the app was not smooth but I think that’s because I didn’t know at the time you have to add a line to order through Verizon so I used the Apple site to order that hoping the X process through the VZW app is super smoothHello all, thought I’d hop on the discussion here before all the madness starts tomorrow night/early morning. I have a 7+ I got from VZ last year, on launch day. I used the website last year; however for my Apple Watch Series 3 this year, I used the app and it went quite smoothly, so here’s hoping it will go the same for the X. Is that the consensus now is that the VZ app is the best way to go? I’m just thinking someone has to get one on launch day, why not me

You will need to talk to VZW rep. Might need to call more than one time to get a correct answer or if they both give the same answer. No one knows the right answer for it.
I asked about this specific issue and was told that the discount applies to the line, so as long as you keep the line active, regardless of the device on the line, I would receive the discount for the remainder of the $650 promo.
Reading the device trade-in information during the promotion it indicated that the device needed to remain active.
I’m not sure who to believe and because of this I may not buy a new phone. I have an upgrade available on another line on my account.
It does ask for an address and if you change the shipping address it also has to send a verification code to you which will slow down the process. Me being in the same situation what I did was change the billing address to where I wanted my phone to go to the address I want my phone to go to also added my card linked to said address because you have to verify payment info with CVC. This way you avoid 2-3 steps at check out. Hope this helps best of luck
Not true. I paid off my 7+ and the credit ceased. You'll get an email that tells you and it references to the original verbiage that we agreed to when we accepted the offer.
Yes if you pay it off it ceases. If you keep making payments, but put another paid off device on the line, the credit should continue because you are continuing the payment agreement. This is what I have been told.
If it were by the actual device remaining active then someone who accidentally destroyed their phone or had it stolen would lose the credit and get really screwed.
Multiple phones on the app would clearly be easiest and best to use each device to upgrade

Yeah I don’t even think you can do down payments anymore. From what I can tell on their device payment FAQ page, the only payment you can make on the device besides the monthly payment is to pay it off 100%, except for this case: “For customers on device payment agreements prior to 5/31/15, you may make the required payment to complete your upgrade.”
Can somebody confirm the time preorders for CST? VZW is telling me it’s 12 PDT but that it’s 3 CST
If you look in the VZ app there is an iPhone X preorder countdown timer that should clear up any confusion. Someone just probably isn’t converting time zones correctly. I can’t inagine why it wouldn’t be 2AM central. It’s 3am where I’m at, in the eastern.
So I usually just go through Verizon.com or the Verizon Wireless app to pre-order (did that for the iPhone 6+ and the iPhone 7), but I see that I can access the Verizon Device Upgrade Program through the Apple Store app, so can I just do that and not have to deal with Verizon’s software/website? I don’t wanna screw up my contract/bill but I think it's pretty clear that the Apple Store app would be the best way to go through with it.
I had some questions about this and chatted online with an Apple rep last night. They had me do a test run with an iPhone 8 and everything came up fine. It recognized my number and said I was eligible for the VZ Device Payment Plan. That said, my 6S is completely paid off...

I just tried that, and I am eligible, but the Apple Store app says "You are eligible for a Verizon Device Payment upgrade with trade-in. However, we do not support Verizon trade-ins on the Apple Online Store."
So I guess since mine's not paid off, I have to go through Verizon to do the trade-in to get the Verizon Device Upgrade.
Which VZW app are you referring to? I'm on a business plan also and I thought my only option is to order the business portal?
