Can this be done through the Apple store app and how will we know if we are able to order through the Apple app. I n ow I’m eligble for a new phone (upgrade). Thanks!
Not sure on that. I know you can’t order from Apple using Verizon device payment if you need to trade in for an upgrade. Apart from that I’m not sure. I know they do allow you to buy through Verizon device payment, but not sure of the details.
i honestly wouldn't trust that loophole that took place earlier. Something similar happened with walmart when they accidentally allowed the SNES Classic to be pre ordered back in august. They cancelled ALL the orders at the same time. Verizon can easily do the same thing if apple throws a fit.

How do we make sure shipping addresses match? My billing address is a different address than my shipping....
Ok silly question I will be ordering via Verizon should I use web broker or the my Verizon app
Not sure if Verizon is allowing for shipping to an address other than the main address associated with the account. In the past, they wouldn’t do it. That’s what I meant by making sure the shipping address matches up. I believe some have either swapped addresses in their account to allow for this. If you already have this squared away, or it no longer applies, then you should be fine.
If something has changed, correct me. I was speaking from past experiences read.

SO PUMPED FOR TONIGHT! It's my first time ever preordering anything. I am legally blind so I prefer purchasing phones in-store so that reps can help me set up vision accessibility stuff. But because the iPhone X is supposed to be super limited I'm for sure preordering! I can always go to the Verizon Store for help once the phone is delivered to me! So excited!

I’m switching 3 lines on a family plan from ATT to Verizon when ordering the iPhone X. I saw if you order through Apple you have to have an active Verizon account to pre-order, which I don’t have. Does this mean I have to do the family plans switch/iPhone pre order through Verizon? I’m just worried that it will take me a little bit to set up the family plan switch on Verizon since it’s for three lines and also you can’t set up the preorder through Verizon since it won’t let you select the iPhone x as a favorite or option as a pre checkout like the App Store does..also I would rather pre order through the App Store since that seems to be the bets option. Am I outta luck and have to do it thru Verizon?

my option will be $1149.99 Retail > New Customer > Sign up for a month for $75. Once I get the phone, pop the ATT SIM and continue with ATT. Next day or few days later to call back VZ to cancel the plan.
Is this a sound plan?
Reason: travelling to China next year and would need LTE coverage. AFAIK ATT&T-Mobile doesn't support China Mobile LTE Spectrum. Correct me if I am wrong. I am open to any sound plan.

If I do a test purchase with an 8, it indeed says no upgrade fee. Not sure if thats only for DPP customers though.
I'm on a Verizon business account through my employer, and as such can not sign in to a Verizon account. Do I need any VZW credentials/verifications to order the full price iPhone X tonight? Or can I simply purchase the VZW model without any validation?
Did anyone use the Apple Store app and practice by pretending to order an iPhone 8? Because I tested it out and I couldn't figure out a way to get passed that 15 second long loading screen when they check with Verizon with your account information. Is there no way to add the phone to the cart without doing that? That's a long wait

You need the credentials AND you can't buy through Apple. When I sign in on Apple it says this is a business account and won't let me log in.
So I am moving apartments on Monday.
On my Verizon profile I updated the billing address to the new address so that the phone ships to the right address (I didn’t see a separate section for shipping address)
My current credit card on file with Verizon for auto payments has my old address. This is because I haven’t changed my address with my credit card company (since I haven’t moved yet)
Anyone knows if it will cause any issues?

That’s the only way to get a Verizon phone through Apple.com unfortunately. Hopefully the load time will be 15 seconds or less at 12:01am.
A while ago I asked online about switching to Verizon, and basically the way the system is set up, you need to either do it in a retail store or through Verizon, so yes you will need to do it through Verizon’s site.
