I have this problem when viewing something mostly white, such as a webpage loading. And also, you have to be at a distance.

Another thing also is I JUST purchased my MacBook Air last week and these laptops have it too.

And many have perfect screens, the only people who complain are the ones with Issues, not the people who have great MBA's Common Sense!

yep. If almost any user who bought the MBA would have these kind of problems this forum would totally be blown up with messages. The strange thing that bothers me is that nobody who has this problem has received a perfect replacement yet. Does this mean we are to picky with the screen? Or are they just not so "sensible" with the display thinking it's the way the display is used to be. My second MBA was in term of thin lines much better than the first one... if I hadn't had the huge problem before I might have kept it. On the other side it had some kind of blurry unclear areas on the second display which weren't on the first MBA rev2 ... I really start to wonder what kind of quality control they have. Especially since on all non US devices no 4 finger swipes seem to work.

Get it. It's not bad as what everyone is complaining about. I mean, if you are not doing hard core things like heavy video editing, you should be fine. Mine does photoshop great!

Once again the question: why, then, did noone who received a bad display get a replacement that was ok? 7:4 means 2 out of 3 are bad, so for me: no way, that´s by far too bad for that price

That´s no answer. We do not know how many with good displays and how many with bad displays are out there.

What we DO know is that a lot of people received bad MBAs, replaced it and again received bad MBAs, and then again and again. To date, not one of those who replaced a bad MBA has reported to have received a good replacment. So, really disappointing, every single reported replacement MBA was bad, too.
That given, it seems most MBAs have bad displays.

Because it is no good advice to tell people to spend 2500 Dollars if it is very likely to receive a faulty prodcut.

And of course, please read once again my latest statement, given the facts we know at present, it definitely IS likely to receive a display with lines or, even worse, flickering.

If you´re lucky, you might receive a good MBA, but you´d better be prepared to deal with a bad one

No not most..LOL not at all.
Arguments please, you´ve failed to explain this opinion BASED ON KNOWN FACTS

I think that there are not many of theses Airs sold. I spoke to all the big apple shops in spain, there are not many shops, asking if they experienced the faint line issue, nothing, no idea, they never heard about, how should they? they didn't sold one nor received one.

Didn't someone here already contact Apple's cupertino office and even sent them their macbook air?

Apple's verdict was its within spec. If that's the case, why still all the fuss 09872738??? you can't call it faulty if its been investigated by Apple to be within spec, and thus, telling people that if they buy a macbook air now, it'll very likely be faulty.

I dont think that there is a good one around ;) why? they are all made in the same way. my first one had no lines at all, this second one has lines, very difficult to see. the first one had strong flickering, this second one has less flickering.
