It seems we're all in the same boat, we all basically got one because we bought it last year and were likely in the original forum (early supporters) early sign ups.

Same for me, I bought 6, and 3 of them were directly from Oneplus. Sold them all for a profit just like I did with my Oneplus Two when I got it. I had a buyer for it before I got it and sold it for £540

The fact when I ordered they said processing time and delivery would be around 5 days with express shipping and now they have thrown that out.

Given I bought on impulse rather than desire to actually own the device it really doesn't bother me if I get it or not. If they offer free shipping and refund me the 25 - that would be grand if they just cancel - then fine to that too.

I will be getting the moto x style to replace my 2014 anyway.

I got the invite too, but I saw the Moto X 2015 and really like that one. Except I bought the Moto x 2014 off eBay, since you own the 2014 is that a bad decision? I like the 2015 version, but I really like the AMOLED and smaller screen.

Essentially as its running stock android your not likely to notice too much performance difference between the 2014 & 2015 X. The 2015 has better rear & front cameras, however if you're not using them regularly only occasional snap the chances are your 2014 will do.

Essentially of your happy with the 2014 - then unless you want bigger screen and a better camera - then the 2015 isn't going to be such a worthwhile upgrade.

However as you know yourself, the 2015 looks so nice that it makes it desirable even when logically there is not a reason to get it, we just want it.

I must be the only one I know that prefer the 2014 over the new one.

I'm in the same boat, so it's not just you!

I asked OnePlus support about the shipping, as it's been 8 days since I ordered my 2. She gave me this.

Hah. They're taking the p*** now surely.

Minimum 14 business days (so 3 weeks) for 'express shipping'.

WTF? They're redefining express shipping right there. Surface mail on a boat out of Shanghai gets delivered quicker than that.

LOL not :(

I still have my OPO as a back up emergency phone, but their customer service or lack thereof just sucks. And add on their cocky attitude, it amazes me anyone still deals with them.

I liked my OPO it was a good deal for the price, but no frigging way would I give them another penny of business with their sh!tty attitude still.

I've only bought the OnePlus 2 because I felt it was the best "2015 flagship" for me. I don't love the Moto X Pure / Style for various reasons. I'm disappointed with how this entire launch has been handled. As they are ramping up giving out invites, how many phones do they actually have to sell? Does one invite = one phone currently in stock (like I feel it should) or are they selling future stock at this point?

I'm not angry enough to cancel my order, but holy cow OnePlus GET IT TOGETHER.

Status still says processing but got a text from DHL and its passing through their ports it seems.

So i can't even cancel now if i wanted to. Not that there's any feasible alternatives for me.

Yep for Ireland it worked out at 18-21 days and that's Express. Hence I cancelled my order.

They wouldn't refund the 'express' shipping.

I got the invite too and ordered it. But not sure if I will keep it. I am reading some horrible reviews about the OP2's camera, especially the Auto Focussing during video capture. For me this year it was between the iPhone 6s and the OP2.

I have always been an iPhone guy and was willing to switch to the OP2 to give Android a try. But the camera is one of the things I use most frequently and I can't live with a bad one. Too bad OP2 has screwed it up when all the other OEMs seem to have stepped up their game in this regard.

The iPhone 6s camera might just be too good to pass. But once I go with the 6s I am stuck with it for another 2 years and I will spend two more years wishing what using an Android phone on a daily basis would be like. :sigh:

It would have been a stretch for the camera to stand alongside the 6S Plus given how long Apple have been one of the standard bearers.

Focusing can be an issue but I've had that with pretty much every phone camera I've tried to some degree (most recently the S6).

At present it'll take good-to-very good shots of static objects. Sometimes it doesn't focus quick enough but this is more in photos than video in my experience. This is like many phone cameras with the iPhone 6 plus and the S6 / N5 series being more predictable (but still not 100% on the money). At this point I've come to accept shooting moving objects is a lucky dip in terms of getting a clear shot.

There's supposed to be a big update due in September and the camera has been cited as an area for improvement. Whether that happens is another thing. I think it would be near miraculous to improve shutter speeds and HDR processing speed to near zero from where they are now.

My hope for a big step in camera improvement is with the 6S Plus and Z5 series. I just wish Apple had more manual controls but it's not their approach.

I guess I'm in the minority. I ordered mine on Sunday and I just got a email saying it was shipped. On schedule to be delivered tomorrow. So from order to delivery, It took about three days (as Monday was Labor Day).

Edit:
Forgot to mention that Im located in the East Coast.

Yeah definitely weird. I was planning on a three week wait so I was pretty surprised to get my order shipped email so soon.

That being said, after a difficult nights worth of sleep, I decided to sell before I even receive it. I tried the two phone rotation but i always end up going back to the iphone.

Where do you plan to sell it? What are you expecting to get for it?

Probably on Swappa. Have it listed here as well. Currently I'm asking for 500 shipped paypal gift. After shipping fees + insurance, I make away with roughly 70 or so.

Got my invite today.

Bought a OnePlus 2 today.

Read this thread today.

Cancelled my order today.
Short and sweet.

I'm almost certain I'll sell mine in a week or two. Aside from camera niggles, I miss split screen apps and fast charging a lot amongst other features.

I never thought I'd be that bothered but if I forget to charge overnight, I'm screwed for the next day as 20 minutes will only get about 15% top up. Then it's portable charger time or leaving it on the desk and being away from it. And it charges mega slow if the screen is on.

So, this supposed mid-September update needs to be outstanding or it'll be to the kerb.

After the operational cockups this time, I sense people losing faith in OnePlus and will just simply go Moto or elsewhere next time.
