Yes, OnePlus is a terrible company but the device itself isn't bad and reviews have been favourable. They sent me an invite and i'm gonna use it order one when i get home.

The Moto X Play and Style are slightly more expensive here and the Style isn't even out. Also Motorola has been slacking majorly with OS updates recently. My 2nd gen Moto G is still on 5.0.2. And looks like it'll be stuck there now that 3rd gen is out.

Nexus 7 is yet to be unveiled, and i cannot stand Samsung/LG skins so no Galaxies or G4s for me. Hence this is the only phone that offers me a chance to play with a clean version of current Android at a decent price point.

My main device will remain an iPhone anyway so lack of NFC doesn't really bug me.

So i got the invite and decided to order the OPO2. Not even going to open it but resell it on swappa. It is going for about $200 more than what I paid for it. So this will help fund a Moto Pure or Nexus phone.

In typicall fashion they screwed up the order. They said my invite had expired but it hadn't. They said the order was canceled but then emailed later saying it was processing. Good thing I'm gunna make money from this phone. This company's a mess.

Their forum is still full of of people begging for invites and people are constantly running giving my invite away contests, which are a total redundancy seeing as we can't share our invites. Even when someone corrects them 40 more people pop in still begging for it anyway.


With my OP2 I'm going to use it strictly for review purposes and then I'll sell it to one of my hangouts members for cost price. I've no interest in holding onto it at this stage.

It really is a shambles of a company. The forums are a real lunatic asylum that beggar belief - all posting just to keep 'active' in the hope of an invite.

I think there's some small print on their website somewhere saying orders can take up to 3 weeks ... which tells it's own story really.

I just got my invite. I was about to just purchase the Moto X PE. Oddly enough, its hard for me to go back to a phone w/o a fingerprint scanner, so I may pass on the bigger X PE and just keep the OP2.

Edit: I didn't know shipping would take this long according to their forum. I could have my X PE by next week from Amazon.

Edit #2: Eh, I'm going to pass on this phone. I don't feel like dealing w/ OPO bullcrap.

Long day yesterday and, granted it's mostly WiFi @ 40% brightness (typical for me), but the battery is proving excellent for me:

I don't have any concerns over it being thirsty on standby after those results.

The fact when I ordered they said processing time and delivery would be around 5 days with express shipping and now they have thrown that out.

Given I bought on impulse rather than desire to actually own the device it really doesn't bother me if I get it or not. If they offer free shipping and refund me the 25 - that would be grand if they just cancel - then fine to that too.

I will be getting the moto x style to replace my 2014 anyway.

I ordered mine on the first and i'm in the same boat. When I got the shipping notification when I bought my OnePlus One a while back, it had already left California and was set to arrive the next day. Hopefully that's the case for the 2.

It seems we're all in the same boat, we all basically got one because we bought it last year and were likely in the original forum (early supporters) early sign ups.
