If you ordered as soon as it went live, you will be fine. If you ordered anytime after, you will be waiting for awhile.
If you try to preorder right now, it says it will ship by Monday May 24. There is zero chance of that happening lol

In the end the AirPods were shipped from a store location and not a warehouse, according to the UPS shipping label. I googled the address and it was some random BB store in Iowa.
Yeah, I’m starting to begin to have doubts I’m getting my iPad Pro on the 21st.
Yes pre order 1st 2mins and no word from them untill
Shipped
That’s what I don’t understand. Delays can happen.. because Best Buy have to rely on Apple to ship the product to them. But what I can’t stand is the lack of communication. And retailers are known to have product in stores, but not fulfilling preorders.
I ordered the 12.9" 2TB Silver version on 5/10 via Best Buy. Considering how late I placed my order and how Bloomberg is reporting that Apple is having production issues with the mini LED displays, I'm starting to think I may never get one.
I couldn’t be in your shoes ordering that late.. you definitely waiting around. Ordered 7mins after it went live, could of been earlier… but I received out of stock after multiple tries on the base model, so I went with the 1TB model.

Mine still says it’ll ship by the 24th. Bestbuy does seem intentionally quite about the state of inventory. I feel like they always “pretend they have it in stock” and then at the last second decide it’s back ordered, but also can’t “cancel it” because “reasons.” Lol

Tbf, wouldn't our preorders be held in some warehouse... having units in the store doesn't tell the full story of inventory being low. Granted, I wouldn't hold out on buying an iPad Pro at a BB during launch. I'm just hoping that Best Buy fulfills preorders instead of sending units to stores.

Judging by @travis64 post... it would be wise to not go by their statement. Reality is kinda sinking in... I have a feeling that these iPad Pros will fall under hard-to-get product territory.
They always want to send some units to the stores to drive traffic. We don't make much on the devices but we do make money on accessories and geeksqaud. As well I believe you could order for in store pick up. I haven't had to deal with this launch so far so I'm not 100% sure how the pre orders went down.

I screwed up and canceled the preorder I had made minutes after it went live on 04/30, but placed another yesterday evening. It says ships by 05/24, but I doubt that’s happening. I wish now I wouldn’t have canceled my preorder, but there’s nothing I can do about it now. I just hope I can get it sometime soon. Doubtful, though.

After thinking about it, wouldn’t they just say it’s sold out and stop taking preorders if they couldn’t get it to you when they say? The PS5 launch is a prime example. You either got the preorder quick or it sold out, but this preorder is still ongoing so that gives me some hope.

I’m blown away at how a company like Bestbuy, with all the competition out there, can’t even change their website to match what they have. Why leave “Ships by the 24th” if that’s not gonna happen? Surely Bestbuy has the ability to simply change the items availability to “sold out” like the 1TB and 2TB models….Am I missing something here?

Maybe it’s not sold out? I don’t know. Probably is, but I am just grasping for straws now. I guess I should just cancel my order and get the 11” now. The 12.9” will probably end up being scalped all to hell.

I still think that it will only be worrisome if BB does not ship by Wednesday of this week. This is EXACTLY how my PS5 and Xbox Series X preorders went with them (I got both delivered on launch day) and again I still feel those devices are much harder to come by than these iPads.

I understand the point to drive traffic, but customers should get their orders as scheduled.

Why even log in to check the order? Has their been a charge on your account? At this point… Best Buy has been sending us updates via email. If there’s no email… no point in checking the order.

ummm.. when you preordered… was the status preordered then suddenly went to ship status that Wednesday?

Ironically I’m the one who made this thread but I’ve just canceled the order on BB and went ahead to snatch one at CDW, they’re shipping TODAY thru UPS next day air. Better save yourselves from waiting! Thanks to the guy who mentioned CDW in another thread

Interesting. It looks like Apple didn't put a delivery embargo in place then.

So I guess everyone’s in the same boat! I’m seeing no updates either. Hopefully Best Buy can get it delivered on the release day
BestBuy 5/6 email says "will ship by 5/21". I ordered on 5/1 12.9" 256G wi-fi.
Wondering if anyone in US has received...

Maybe that’s why Apple didn’t pin down the exact date on their website, although press releases were talking about May 21 as the day. But who knows

Tech blogs may have latched on to the May 21 date (earliest delivery estimate?) but the official Apple press release only mentions second half of May.
