Luxmark and Furmark shouldn't be affected.benchmark works in geekbench as kext in library/extensions
openCL 71940
metal 95118
but luxmark ?

and furmark with 44fps without 59 fps !?!
It's a codeless kext so you won't see it loaded. If your GPU / display info containts EFI and VBIOS versions the kext does work. 51k is allright for an RX580.
It definitely does affect OpenGL/CL and Metal performance. It just isn't noticeable in all benchmarks - just like on Geekbench where just a couple of the sub-tests benefit from RadeonBoost. But it also won't decrease OpenGL performance.
maybe you can add some Vega 56 fan fix please. If some experience failed boot with RadeonBoost on Navi10 and Navi14 cards: I am already working on a fix for that.
Unfortunately, after the Install KEXT, sleep state, the Vega 64 fan speed will be high.
CMMChris, do you think it's possible to build a customised fan profile for the Vega64, and inject it via PP table?@Tizucumacu @zozomester Nothing I can do about that. Issue does not exist on a Hackintosh. Appears to be some firmware issue.
Didn't notice high rpms. I can check with open case when I'm back home.Unfortunately, after the Install KEXT, sleep state, the Vega 64 fan speed will be high.

I think this is worth for them to try. At least, I don't know any other better approach.Sure but I doubt it would fix the issue
You stopped using your PowerPlay Table or not? If you dropped the PPT of course you get lower scores. Try using your PPT along RadeonBoost.
Strange. This doesn't happen on Hackintoshes. Have you tried resetting PRAM / NVRAM and SMC?
No, it's all original to me. If I remove the Radeonboost Kext, the fan will run normally.CMMChris, do you think it's possible to build a customised fan profile for the Vega64, and inject it via PP table?
I mean put a PP table inside the Radeon Boost kext to override the original fan control, and see if that fix this high fan speed issue. No, it's all original to me. If I remove the Radeonboost Kext, the fan will run normally.
You can remove MacPro4,1 SMBIOS support since MP4,1 are limited to El Capitan and El Capitan don't support of the Polaris/VEGA/NAVI GPUs.New version attached in first post. Vega 64 owners please check if fans still behave abnormal.
Yep, but no one will be running a MP4,1 firmware with Mojave/Catalina, since MP4,1 don't support APFS.Nobody cares about Apple's artificial limits.
