Well this is all good, but the real question is do they care about vintage computers?Install macOS 10.14.4 on Mac Pro 5,1
More likely iMacPro1,1 or 7,1 users can do it, but can anybody else?

Really?! Passionate hackintosh users probably have the most in-depth knowledge of the macOS operating system. Apple knows that.
They also never had problems with hackintosh users submitting bug reports in the past. I personally had an Apple engineer on mine via remote access to investigate an issue back in early 2019. Surprisingly, he even knew how to handle Clover. Not joking.
Is there any harm in reporting following the items outlined by @h9826790 even if on a vintage machine that is supposed to be supported?Well this is all good, but the real question is do they care about vintage computers?

There is no harm even if you report from a hachintosh, but there is no weight. Is there any harm in reporting following the items outlined by @h9826790 even if on a vintage machine that is supposed to be supported?
Shame. Is this confirmed or assumed?but there is no weight.
In this particular case it is not that they did not try to fix it. It took Apple more than a year. Because they could not find a proper fix they compromised.Shame. Is this confirmed or assumed?
Can you please share your version of RadeonBoost, I'm really curious about giving it a go to see how it affects my FinalCut performance, and if the fan issue is present, and if it is, can I live with it when working or not.i use on one of my cMP radeonboost 1.0 in OC 0.5.7 with a sapphire reference vega64
and no fan bug in mojave 10.14.6 with latest SU or catalina 10.15.4
It's Mojave's issue, and 5,1 is supported in Mojave. According to this page, just no more hardware support for obsolete products, not software.Well this is all good, but the real question is do they care about vintage computers?

If we submit bug report about "fan speed issue with RadeonBoost installed", then they will reply "contact the developer of RadeonBoost".
Just open AboutThisMac:I think I see double Vintage:

How will the average user know if his cMP was made 2010 or 2012?
Joke aside, don't get me wrong I see no issue if everybody complains. We just have to select the right wording.
I know, but we still can’t tell them “fan bug exist if we mod the AMD10000controller kext”. That’s why I believe we should not submit a “fan bug”.No need to mention RadeonBoost. The kext just injects some additional driver parameters that Apple do use on their own GPUs. You could add them manually to AMD10000Controller / AMDX6000Framebuffer as well without using any additional kext or hackintosh bootloaders.
I've experimented a little bit with enabling Vega64 in 1.4 and achieved even better results in OpenCL, now it's 66124, while Metal is a hair slower — 80757.funny, this version does not make me a turbo fan with the vega64
which brand and type is your card?
mine is the sapphire radeon RX vega64 in reference design:
Just tested a looped FCPX playback of a RED RAW 8K footage for 5 minutes, which made the whole system hot and loud. Stopped, and all the fans spun down shortly, Radeon fan fully stopped 🤷♂️The reference cards usually stay quiet as long as they haven't been under full load for a while.

I benchmarked Rise of the Tomb Raider with and without on my Radeon VII and was going to share the numbers / settings but didn't find a discernible difference. Will test Hitman as well.
